The one where fall tricked us.

We had a week or so of the most beautiful weather, I was so excited, I turned the AC off, and we all wore sweaters.  And then Utah decided to get to be 90 degrees again.  It is supposed to stop tomorrow and be back to the 60's and I so pray it sticks around this time.  I am so sick of summer.

Luca accompanied me to get the mail a few weeks ago, and I bundled him all up only to find it was hot--he didn't mind.

Then I went to the bathroom, or did something, I can't even remember what, but came back to see this--I had taken his pants off because they got all wet outside--

I ran to find him, but not fast enough.  He was sitting right in his car, and had peed.  We are working on potty training again, I think it could be done, but with our trip to NY coming up next week it wasn't worth the reverting that more than likely would have happened.  When we get back we will go full speed.

We had been right into it--and I think that is what he wanted, but he couldn't get to the toilet apparently, he just knew he needed to sit somewhere.

I attempted to make pumpkin chocolate chip cookies one day, and the word attempted is an understatement.

But first, I shared some chocolate chips with Luca and he sucked them off the counter like a dog.

Proudly.

So.  The understatement before it was baked....

I won't make the references I did texting as to not offend anyone--that would never be my plan.  But rest assured, they were funny.  It made this atrocity worth having come from me.

In the middle of making these I spotted Luca picking at my pretty pumpkins--can you see all those dots on the dresser, and all the sparkles on the floor?? All came from my pumpkin, it has a bald spot now.  Needless to say I finally found a new home for them.

And during the baking--where I realized something was wrong because Kenz said hers didn't spread so much.  So I went back to the recipe, realized I forgot half the dang flour, took them out, scraped them off, added flour and only ended up having 12 cookies.

The scraped off ones.  Yum, I know.

After I added flour however, they turned out well--hopefully next time I can really get it right.  I have yet to attempt again.

My life.  All the pillows, all the blankets, to the floor.  No matter how many times a day I put them back.

The other half of my life lately has been sitting in the bathroom, or right outside the door while Luca sits there for 20+ minutes at a time.

Lining up cars is all the rage right now.  All the time, all over lines and lines of them. Its pretty.

Kelly brought the kiddos over to meet sara, and have a play date with us--I wanted it to be a cold day--hence the sweater on Luca, but when I was dying I gave back in and took it off.

The boys did pretty well playing together, as always they had their moments, but I was impressed, and Thomas and I bonded on a new level--although, the aquarium may have made that disappear.

They spent a solid 10 minutes all taking turns tossing rocks down in to the window pit.

After Kelly and her kiddos left we had lunch at Cafe Rio, and the boys played after.  Luca has been all about the babies lately, he points them out all over the place, "bebe!" and was perfectly content to just watch Nikolai hang out.

He seriously pulled this stool over, set it down right across from Nikolai in the walker, and just stared at him for a bit.  It was pretty hilarious.

We love them close, and missed them while we were gone, and now they are gone, and when they are back we will be gone AGAIN! It has been crazy, and the least amount of time we have spent together since the kiddos were born.  Its a strange thing.  I am ready for everyone to be back and around to play with!
