The one at Wheeler Farm.

Now they are out of order because my phone is stupid. Oh well.

Last weekend Sara and Matt had a weeding in slc to go too. But they found out last minute that no kids were allowed. The reception was at wheeler farm in a building with a museum on the second floor so they didn't want any little hands wandering up there and accidentally breaking things.

So Jose, Luca and I headed down to watch Grant for them. We wandered the grounds a bit, saw the animals ate Sara's food and then headed home to wait for them to be done.

There were so many geese and baby geese. Those parents were feisty and snappy. And they were the ones coming to us. Crazies.

Grant was intrigued by all the animals. And made most of their noises with them.

As we were walking Grant was dragging his feet kicking the dirt into the air creating a lot of dust. So I told him that and asked him to pick his feet up while he walked so we didn't all get dirty. This was the result.

Jose chowed down this food so fast. The groom was Peruvian so they had lots of traditional food.

We got back and Grant ate lots and lots of food and colored and watched despicable me while we waited for Sara and Matt.

When they got there I went to show Sara something in my garage and she apparently forgot there were steps and ended up just falling into my garage instead. She thought she broke her ankles. Special. Use the stairs next time woman. But thanks for protecting my child.

The one with some cousins.

Luca and I got up early to head to Sara's today. Hannah and Heidi came over for dinner--it's been way too long since we've seen them!

Luca loves the jams Aunt Kenz got for him. He plays with the cuffs forever when he's in them. They are a beautiful built in toy for him.

Then we headed over to see Sara and Grant. We brought the walker for Luca since they have all hard floor and he can go anywhere! Grant had a blast pulling and pushing him around all over as fast as he could. Luca didn't have as much fun.

After Grant's nap he was being a weirdo and hid behind the counter. I still don't know why.

Then Hannah and her boyfriend Jessi came--he was super sweet! We chatted a bunch and caught up on our lives.

Grant stole corn on the cob and ate it outside.

Sara made hamburgers--and when Hannah and jessi got there she awkwardly asked, "you're not like vegetarian are you?" And if course the response was yes they were. So that wasn't embarrassing or anything.

Luckily she had other food and she pulled that out and everyone left satisfied.

Then Heidi came and played with Luca.
Luca gets to play with everyone. :)

Grant attempted to feed Heidi and ant at one point. He's taken to carrying them around apparently. Luckily she noticed before he got it on her tongue.

He kept it in his telescope and in the back of his bike. Because of course the dead squished ant needs safe keeping.

Then he searched for more.

Boys will be boys.

Grant kept sitting on Luca to watch YouTube shows on the iPad so I put it in the bumbo to keep him off, thinking he'd take it out and go sit somewhere but it clearly makes an excellent holder, so he just left it there to watch.

We had a fabulous night catching up!

Luca of course fell asleep on the way home--and is still currently awake chatting with dad. Shouldn't he be a little tired at least?? Good grief.

The one with a successful swim!

Sara and Grant came down today and we attempted the pool again. Sara was so determined. Grant has no choice but to love the pool!! She would never give up!

It's a good thing she didn't because Grant LOVED it today!! Yay! We were there for almost 2 full hours!! Usually it's like 20-30minutes before he's over it. He had floaties which I think helped a ton. He jumped in a bunch of times, walked around, went down all the slides, floated around, and splashed like crazy!

Luca loved loved it too. He and Grant switched floaties back and forth and he had a ball kicking and splashing around! He even just walked around in the floatie where he could touch. He was a speedy little guy.

We had a lot a lot of fun--despite Grant getting knocked out by the grandma on the slide--that ruined things a bit-he was still ready to go down again!

My child is a monkey. He will climb anything and hold on for dear life. Total boy. I'm super excited to see what comes later.

After we got home and ate and the boys napped we took a bath to get all that chlorine off.

Grant "shaves" like mommy does when he's in the tub. He got up and posed like this for a few seconds several times.

They had a blast in more water together.

Grant is seriously a big kid now. It's crazy. At one point today Jose asked him to get him a bottle of water-they are on our stairs for the time being-it's too hot outside now--and he went right over and got one and brought it back to him! So helpful.

And he talks up a storm now. He repeats everything everyone says. "Aight" was my favorite today.

Also. After baths we were lotioning our children in Luca's room and Grant got in the crib to play, he kept throwing the stuff out of it and Sara gave him several warnings to knock it off or he would have to get out and have a spanking for not listening. He kept doing it so Sara said, "well now you have to get out and have a spanking because you aren't listening"
(My back was turned to them at this point--I was getting Luca dressed still)
Sara got up and walked over to the crib and I hear "oww." And then Sara saying, "I haven't even touched you yet!"
Seriously. The kid is a smartie pants. And sometimes a smart alik. What are you going to do? Besides turn your head to laugh at it all. Because it is hilarious.
