The one with a last day of 2 children.

Sara and I were going to do anything today because we are going to see each other so much this next week with a new baby!!! But she called at 10:30 bored out of her mind with the "longest day ever!!" Totally expected. Of course the last day before you get a new baby is crazy exciting.

So we planned to meet up in american fork and take Nicole down to provo to see the museums we used to go to as kids. We drove past the new temple, which is coming along so fast and beautifully! We also drove past our old apartment, and then headed to the paleontology museum with our great uncle Dinasour Jim's things!

^^this is luca being a Dinasour--he was roaring too.

Then we headed over to the bean museum to see all the animals and play for a half hour on one slide. Nicole was so confused at how they were having so much fun. That's toddlers for ya.

Luca went down over and over again, and Grant decided to try going on his back head first. They were giggling like crazy.

There's a little bear cave by the slide, and luca and grant went in there, I was taking some pictures with the flash, and that's when we all noticed the giant scary bear head!! Creepy.

That's enough to keep any child from going in there!!

Except ours of course. Hahahaha. They kept going back in to see the bear.

Luca was a crazy head running all over, not listening to a word I said or staying by us. It was a good thing we had Nicole with us. She's faster than I am!

We needed to kill the entire day out so Sara and Nicole could just pick up Matt for dinner, and we still had a long time to go. So we headed over to the byu art museum.

I just love this painting. There is so much going on, and so much you never see. Mary probably had midwives helping her, which she does here, she's nursing her new born babe, Joseph is exhausted--probably from watching and helping his wife through labor, but they are still connected and holding hands, and angels are surrounding them--babies, adults, crying and feeling so much joy. I can only imagine. It's beautiful when you think of everything that they went through and why they did it all.

The boys enjoyed each others company--the last time we will only have 2 children on our many outings!! It's so crazy to think about! Nikolai is coming!!

We still had more time when we were done with all the museums so we attempted a park in American fork. But that turned out to be a not so good idea. Grant fell off one area, after so much hard work to get up it, and luca fell face first down the steepest slide ever which also had like a 2.5' drop at the end. Not so much safe for little people.

Luckily that park was in the library's yard! I could see they had teepees in the kids area from outside so we went in to hang out for a bit.

Luca went straight for the stuffed bear, and grant grabbed a book. Totally exactly who they are. It was awesome.

Then we went up to see the Mount Timpanogous temple. It was freezing cold so we didn't stay long but the boys loved it anyway. They ran all around, and all luca wanted to do was play by the fence.

^^check Grant out. Happily skipping along!

I have to keep my water up and away from luca--any chance he gets he snatches it and drinks away. And you know, I don't share with my child, so once he drinks it its just his or it goes in the sink.

It's happened two days in a row now, but once was grant. Haha. Those bright huge cups with a straw are so tempting!

On our way to Saras on Wednesday--that was luca. Completely crashed out. With his bears tail in his mouth. Which I thought was a leg until now. So it's even funnier.

Whenever we have a meal as a family--which has been rare lately--luca loves to grab one of each of our arms and just sit holding them so tight like this. He made us hold hands tonight and burst out laughing when we did. He's a hoot.

We are so excited to have a new nephew added to our family tomorrow!! Nikolai we are all so excited to meet you!! Come out come out!

The one with Heber and Dinosaur Jim

Sara and I spent all day together on Friday, and when I say all day, I mean all day. I went down there at 8 so I could watch Grant while she had blood work done, and I didn't get home that night until about 10.

After the hospital we went to Heber to see Cherise, who was watching Jens kids for the week. Chase was the only little guy home for most of the day while we were there, and he warmed up to Grant quickly and they played together well. Although Grant was even happier when the rest of the boys got home and played with him too, all the attention he got, even when they got in the washer. I was impressed when they said, "don't worry we aren't putting him in the one that spins" at least they thought that through!

Luca did well, he mainly just hung out, and made weird noises and fell alseep in akward positions. As normal.

Grant is so independent now, he wants to do everything on his own, or at least try first, and he does incredibly well most of the time and can succeed.

He is talking more and more and I'd say about 80% is decernible! If he can't tell you so you can understand, he will take you and show you so you know.

Once all the kids were home we went to Dairy Keen, and got ice cream and fries. This is the "train restaurant" grandma and grandpa always took us here.

They have a Harry Potter Scene in the back of the restaurant and you can move the train if you pay, but it only goes back and forth lamely so we just look.

Grant loved the train so much, his jaw dropped and he pointed it out when it came around.

It started to snow while we were there so when we went back to their house my child was covered in snow. Him and his bald spot. Which is normal by the way. I called my doctor on the way to Heber. It makes me sad, I already can't do his hair anymore. It will be a while till I can again.

While we were out Char told Sara about this "Night at the Museum" thing byu was doing for free that night. You start at one museum and have appetizers, move to the next one for drinks, and then an entree and then dessert. It was cool, however I'm pretty sure for most of byu it ended up being--"come get free food" night because there were thousands of people and not much museum.

It was very cool though, chaotic, and a touch overwhelming with children, so we didn't end up staying the whole time but I'm glad we went!

The first stop was at the paleontology museum and it just so happened to be the opening night for the "Dinasour Jim" (Jim Jensen) exhibit! Who happens to be our great uncle. He is my moms uncle, which is just cool, and basically means that we were pretty much famous there.

We talked to some of the workers and they said he founded that museum and a lot of the sculptures he actually put together himself!
