The one with a visit to Nicole.

Nicole worked down in Lehi one night the week before thanksgiving, and so Luca and I went to visit her.  Sara and the boys were sick, or they would have joined.  We hung out with her for a few hours.

They had just gotten their christmas tree--but not lit it yet, it was huge.

Luca kept trying to get all the ornaments.

This is the sweater grandpa andres and grandma rosie got at disney world for him.  Its just a little big, but its still warm--and he loves it.

Don't mind the horrible mess in my closet, BUT do notice everything Luca brought in.  While I was getting ready one morning he dragged every little thing from his bed into there, and made a little fort to sit in.

We got some snow boots from a neighbor which Luca insisted on wearing all day long!

I finally got the garage cleaned out--it needs it again--shockingly.

Luca, Nicole and I went to the pool!!  Luca loves that place.  He did so good just doggy paddling himself around.  Mommy and me classes are hopefully inner future!!  He loves to jump in and put his face under and kick.

Nicole took him down the huge yellow slide a bunch of times, it was quite the workout for her.

We should go to the pool more often, it is literally one of Lucas favorite places.

The one where I gave birth to a fish.

We went to see Inside Out, last week--such a good movie!! The most creative storyline I have seen in a long time!  Luca loved it too, I don't know if its a good thing really or not--but he sat for almost the whole movie--he was up and going down the stairs for only like 15 min.  I was impressed.

We had a ward party that night--300 people were expected, and we had the drink station.  So we got all ready and prepared for that for the rest of the day.  I have never been more grateful for my food processor!! That thing is a beaut.

I was done with everything in less than 2 hours! I thought it would take me hours and hours!

It was so delicious and a brilliant idea I had of this lemonade bar, but only about 30 people of the 300 came--so we had lots and lots and lots of extras--which I ended up giving away--we never would have used it, and I felt horrible tossing it.

We had pureed strawberries, rasberries, pinepple, watermelon and mango juice to mix in.  Seriously--they were SO good.  I am not a lemonade person, so that should tell you.  I drank so many while we were prepping.

It was so dang hot, I couldn't believe I lasted outside the whole time, Luca could have cared less about the heat, his poor cheeks were the same color as his shirt--even though you can't tell.  I had him down glass after glass of water.

We borrowed our neighbors corn hole board which was a hit all around.  Luca enjoyed those things.

After that was done we rewarded ourselves with a trip to the pool, or in Lucas words "poo."

He is seriously a fish.  The kid just loves loves loves the water.  He floats around in his little floatie thing, and gets mad when we tried to help him.  He has no fear, he just jumped right in over and over again.

This is Lucas newest thing to do.  He sits up here on the window sill and waits for Jose to get home, while saying, "dada dada dada dada dada dada" constantly for a half hour straight.  He loves his daddy.

We went to the pool 5 days in a row--almost--we didn't go sunday--but every other day--and one day twice.  The first thing Luca asks in the morning is if we can go to the pool.  I'm glad he's loving it so much--its basically the only thing I can do outside in this 105 degree weather we have been having.

No fears.  I'm telling you.

The one with a pool day

This one is a way catch up one. This post saved as a draft on the stupid app but never would post. So here it is. It's from June 10th.
Here we go again.

One of Luca's favorite things to do in the morning is to stick his hand in the side of my bed and play down there. This bed is from ikea, so it has the stupid wood planks underneath it, holding the mattress up. They slide around and fall off all the time. It's real fun. So instead of dealing with that all the time I taped them all down. One day I will just switch them to solid planks instead of two. So the tape lines the edge and he likes the noises it makes.

He thinks it's the best time he can have. :)

Sara, Grant, Kelly, and Thomas came to play yesterday! It was so fun! Sara and Grant got here a bit before Kelly, so the boys played and reunited. Luca is in thins huge mimicking stage. He tries to do anything people do. Grant was kicking around on the mattress so Luca joined.

Grant got bullied a little bit by Luca, and cowered in the corner while he tried to pull his hair.

And then Grant contributed his crawling skills to increase Luca's crawling time. "Crawl! Crawl!"

We thought this through today and got a picture of all the boys before we hit the pool up! Grant and Luca have their daddies brown blood in them, which prevents burning. And little Thomas is all decked out in his pool clothes and blue eyes--look at them!!

My clubhouse pool has a big 1ft section which is where we spent most of our time. Luca likes to just walk around and splash. Grant kept running over to him saying "I gotch you! This way!" And he would drag him back over by the mommies. He's so helpful.

I wrapped Luca up to dry off before we let and he rolled over and just looked out the crack of the chair. See his squished nose?? Hahaha.

He thought it was hilarious too.

We were there for almost 2 hours, which is longer than Luca has ever been at the pool. It's tiring stuff.

Then he was just done. He needed a nap. It was maybe 5 minutes after we got home and changed that he was out. For an entire 45 minutes. I don't know what that is about. Dang short naps.

Although. I can't really complain, he's been napping for almost 2 hours this morning--and he's basically shunned his morning naps lately and won't take them. So he's making up for it. Except I bet he won't nap later. Which will make tonight suuuuuper fun. We shall see.

Kelly and Thomas left after lunch, and Grant made himself comfy on my lap to watch his show.

I love it when people come to visit me! It's so hard being the only one up north. We make it work though!
