The one with Heber and Dinosaur Jim

Sara and I spent all day together on Friday, and when I say all day, I mean all day. I went down there at 8 so I could watch Grant while she had blood work done, and I didn't get home that night until about 10.

After the hospital we went to Heber to see Cherise, who was watching Jens kids for the week. Chase was the only little guy home for most of the day while we were there, and he warmed up to Grant quickly and they played together well. Although Grant was even happier when the rest of the boys got home and played with him too, all the attention he got, even when they got in the washer. I was impressed when they said, "don't worry we aren't putting him in the one that spins" at least they thought that through!

Luca did well, he mainly just hung out, and made weird noises and fell alseep in akward positions. As normal.

Grant is so independent now, he wants to do everything on his own, or at least try first, and he does incredibly well most of the time and can succeed.

He is talking more and more and I'd say about 80% is decernible! If he can't tell you so you can understand, he will take you and show you so you know.

Once all the kids were home we went to Dairy Keen, and got ice cream and fries. This is the "train restaurant" grandma and grandpa always took us here.

They have a Harry Potter Scene in the back of the restaurant and you can move the train if you pay, but it only goes back and forth lamely so we just look.

Grant loved the train so much, his jaw dropped and he pointed it out when it came around.

It started to snow while we were there so when we went back to their house my child was covered in snow. Him and his bald spot. Which is normal by the way. I called my doctor on the way to Heber. It makes me sad, I already can't do his hair anymore. It will be a while till I can again.

While we were out Char told Sara about this "Night at the Museum" thing byu was doing for free that night. You start at one museum and have appetizers, move to the next one for drinks, and then an entree and then dessert. It was cool, however I'm pretty sure for most of byu it ended up being--"come get free food" night because there were thousands of people and not much museum.

It was very cool though, chaotic, and a touch overwhelming with children, so we didn't end up staying the whole time but I'm glad we went!

The first stop was at the paleontology museum and it just so happened to be the opening night for the "Dinasour Jim" (Jim Jensen) exhibit! Who happens to be our great uncle. He is my moms uncle, which is just cool, and basically means that we were pretty much famous there.

We talked to some of the workers and they said he founded that museum and a lot of the sculptures he actually put together himself!

The one with a trip to Sara's with Kelly

Kelly and I met up today and ran some errands, went to target and hobby lobby--I'm making a wreath and I am so excited! We ended up coming to Sara's for lunch which was awesome and fun fun fun.

Thomas is so huge and does so much so I put Luca by him to learn to be big. :)
Luca got to ride in the carts again today at the stores but I forgot to take pictures of course. It's adorable and he loves to sit up there.

We talked about all the books we were reading and ones we needed to read soon. It's fun to have someone else that likes the same styles books as us!

Grant as usual was adorable with Luca. Kissing him all over, wiping his spit up, comforting him when he cried. It's adorable to watch.

He also tried to put a diaper on his doggy all by himself after watching all of us change diapers today. He's so observant.

Then Sara and I looked up online degrees that we want to do--maybe I'm technologically challenged and totally made her think I found an awesome art history one that I would take with her--that didn't actually exist. I'm awesome. Sorry bout that.

I love random visits that last so long!

Jose was supposed to work all day but got a call asking him to go play the piano for Governor Herbert, for the state of the state address at the capitol! Cool. But. Yeah right like I have fancy enough clothes to go...and I have a child so I didn't get too. I wish though! That would have been sweet.

The one with the candy shop

Today we all went to brittys again. Sara had a doctors appointment so I kept Grant there to play with/be bullied by Jace.

Don't worry. Sara found out she is indeed dying. I shall announce the time and date for the funeral we shall hold in her honor.

They watches Elmo peacefully for a little and were adorable before they weren't again.

And then the meaness started again. However. Both boys were totally sweet to Luca. So I'm lucky. They like my baby.

Then Sara, Grant and Luca and I went to the candy store by matts work--we talk about going everytime I'm down there, and I had already left when Sara thought of it but I turned myself right around for that.

My mom used to take us to this candy store when we were little-but the one in Provo. They have windows so you can watch the decorators and stuff. It's adorable.

I was 2 seconds too late to getting the best picture of Grant just riding this dog like a horse. He pulled it down and did it all on his own.

This morning as I got ready for the day I had harry potter on--I know. Shocking. And my child finally showed me he belonged to me for sure by watching it. He was entranced for quite sometime. It made me oh so proud.

The one when I go to Sara's. Again.

The girls left on Thursday morning--so we went over and had breakfast with them before they left.
Luca was still in bed and asleep at 9 when we were heading over there (I love my beautifully sleeping babe) so i just lifted him from his crib to his carseat to go, and brought clothes with us. He fell asleep again so when we got there we got to eat before he woke up again.

Everyone just crowds around him and watches him kick and laugh. It's awesome. I sent a video of him to kenz and she goes "Do you all just sit around and watch him?" and it's true. We do.  He is lovely entertainment.

(I just love how teeny tiny he looks in this picture)

Then I went to Sara's--seriously. We don't usually see each other everyday. Its really only once a week or so. But there have been so many things come up these past few weeks that we really have seen each other more than we haven't. This day she was supposed to watch Brittany's kiddos so I was going to help--so I left Luca with Jose. When I got there though grant was all bummed that "caca" didn't come so we facetimed Jose and Luca. Grant was thrilled and very into it.

Grant fell asleep on me, all precious like.

And then Sara decided we needed a giant cookie cake like the ones they sell at the mall. And helllllo I am so not complaining. I can't bake to save my dang life. I love when she does!

However. She couldn't find anything in her spice cupboard cuz it was all over the place. So I organized that guy. See. I'm good for something. I should have taken a before picture but I didn't think about it. She promised to keep it pretty. I even whipped out her label maker so she couldn't mess it up and then claim she didn't know. I covered all my bases.
