The one with a family walk.

Luca was feeling a little better after his blessing and good nights sleep so we took a family walk since the weather has been absolutely PERFECT lately.

We stopped at the park and swung and let Luca go down the slides. I may have scarred him for life on the slides but it was hilarious.

When just Luca and I go to the park I can't let him slide much because I can't be in two places at once. So this was beautiful. He loves to climb all over te jungle gym and go all over.

So my scarring my child. I put him here to slide down, but I wanted a picture first. So I set him there and tried to grab my phone, but he slipped, and truly held on for dear life. It was super impressive.

Jose was right down there to catch him, and it was just a tiny straight slide. So not all crazy, but still.

He didn't enjoy the slide that came after that. So we headed home.

I was going to apologize for all my sky pictures lately but I'm not going too. It's been so beautiful. I have to document it for when I hate the weather.

Luca was sick of the stroller/really didn't want to leave the park and threw a fit when we tried to leave so we let him push the stroller a bit, and then he rode on dads shoulders.

The one with a day without dad.

Jose, his sister and his mom headed off to Denver this morning, so Luca and I spent the day with Kelly and Thomas! And then we had dinner with grandpa.

I admire the women who run their households alone, for whatever reason, if your husband travels a lot, or he's in the military, or just has bad work hours--it's hard. I don't like it.

I had people most of the day today and tomorrow I'll be with Sara and yet still in the very few hours I spend alone find myself wishing Jose was home. I'm glad he is home as much as he is. I think I would go crazy alone all the time.

Kelly and Thomas came over this morning and we played and then took a walk and went to the park. The boys loved the swings!

We tried to get Thomas to move using the xbox remote as bait but he didn't buy it. Smart kid.

Naturally since we had buddies over nobody got food naps. Thomas lost it after our walk so they left early and Luca lost it shortly after. I put him down for a nap just after they left but he only slept for a half hour. And then he was up and basically bipolar until I finally got him to nap again.

We practiced crawling a lot--well as much as I could get him to do. And he hung out in his hat quite a bit today.

See the scrunchy nose??? Bah!

And then. Bam. Waterworks. I fixed his hat a little, so then he noticed it was on a flipped out. So I took it off only to have the drama continue.

So pathetically sad. He kept scooching around for things and then he would remember how tired he was, cry, smash his face in the carpet a while, and then scooch back over to where I was sitting just to throw himself down on my legs to cry some more.

Nap time was a blessed thing today. I was worried because of course I finally got him down to nap again just an hour before we were meeting Grandpa Andres for dinner.  So of course I knew he'd sleep long and I'd have to wake him up. Luckily it all worked out and he was happy and then went right to bed when we got home.

Not until he spit up a ridiculous amount all over me for the 8362629 time today, but he went to bed all the same.

They played and played while we chatted. And Luca tried on grandpas glasses.

Well it's time for me to sleep.

Also. How amazing would this concept be in the kitchen??? I LOVE it. And one day when I design my own home I will do something like this.

The one with a day out and about.

Luca and I went up to see Sara and Grant today! They helped me taste test all the million bread samples for the reaturant!

At boondocks Sara got two pairs of these awesome sunglasses so Grant and Luca could match. Oh my word. I know most of them are blurry, but seriously?? Those lips of theirs and all the cuteness!? You can't not smile.

Told ya.

Then we headed over to Riddleys so Sara could grab a few things and Matt got off early today so he met us there, and when we got him out I noticed Luca's sock was missing, and there was some trash in the door handle. Grant had taken them off him earlier so I asked him if he took it, he said yes but didn't tell me where. We looked all over with no luck.

Then, on the freeway I remembered the trash in the door, and I knew there wasn't, so I thought it might be the missing sock. I got gas on the way home and checked it out, low and behold, the sock indeed. Oh Grant.

Luca hasn't been drinking much of his bottles lately, I'm hoping because he's eating more food food, even though that's still not fabulous, I'm feeding him more so I make sure he's not going hungry. He has mangoes today, and downed those--he loves them!

I managed to get picture of his puffs to mouth action too!

He is sucking on a longer puff there. I tried to get his cheeks all sucked in but missed.

See the concentration and determination in his face?

And. Success! Yay!

The missionaries came over for dinner again tonight, and it was a Spanish filled evening (our elders were on splits and had a new set of elders from the Spanish ward with them, so they were practicing) and I had errands to run so Luca and I let them be.

Normal when the missionaries come over, especially 3 that means no food left for me. So Luca and I ate at chick fil a while we were out. He loves the high chairs! It's so beautiful to have two hands to eat with again.

Then we ran to smiths to grab a few things for our neighborhood cinco de mayo party on Monday!

It's his new thing to spin all the way around in the cart to watch where we are going--I've always told Sara they should make the seats go both ways--most kids want to see where they are going! It would be handy--however he was not in the mood each time I tried to take a picture.

Then we stopped at the park to swing on our way home, and dad met us there. Then we took a walk and talked to a million people on our ways.

It was so nice out tonight! I love this weather! However. The 82 degree Saturday that is coming...I could definitely do without. No thank you. It's spring. Not summer.
