The one with Family Time

Luca has occupied himself a lot lately with his Pom poms and the Parmesan cheese jars. Those little holes are perfect for fine motor skills! He loves them.

Grandpa Danny played with Luca during breakfast and scurried his hands up his arm to tickle him. He kept begging him to do it again and again.
The top picture is him asking "please" for it again.

We went to Saras after that and the boys played and played and we went to the park all together.

The boys played outside with Grandpa a ton and loved it. He's so good with them.

Luca has had a bath almost everyday this week. Dirt in the hair. Always.

We came back again the next day for Nikolais blessing. It was so sweet and great to be with all the family that came. Or...that was invited. Sara. Next time. I'm handling that. :)

Luca loves to wave to Nikolai and rub noses with him. It's precious. So far, he's been super sweet with him.

The one with Grandma Becky!

Seriously. I can't believe I haven't blogged at all since my mom has been here. Let just blame it on wanting to spend all my time with them. Okay Sara. Breathe.

She flew in last Wednesday at 9:30, so just I picked her up and then brought her to Saras in the morning. Luca soaked up some lovin while I was getting ready that day. He went right to her! I like to say she remembered her--which totally could be the case, or she could just be a woman. I'll never know.

But I guess he really hasn't wanted to go with anyone lately, even women, so who knows!

He just remembered her okay.

I could here them chatting away down there so I snuck down for a picture but they saw--it still is adorable.

Then they did some puzzles and reading while I finished up.

We headed right to Saras so grandma could soak up all the tininess of Nikolai.

This was their first meeting.

She is the best at multiple children. She read to them--the same book several times. Clearly she is seasoned.

Luca and I went up several times between now and these--all the pictures are just combined.

We went up to celebrate Nicole's birthday that Saturday too!! Hooray for 19!

We got her an adorable skirt--but it doesn't fit so we are on the hunt to exchange it tomorrow! Hopefully she loves another just as much!

Happiest day to you last week lady. Not that you'll read this or anything. Loser.

Nicole needed to experience ikea so we took her there too. She doesn't have a house to decorate yet so she didn't care too much, but it was still fun!!

With luca nothing is boring.

Grandma told luca nursery rhymes the whole way home and we reminisced about how she used to tell us them before bed for years and years.

We have gotten lots of tiny baby snuggles. Oh man he is just so small and awesome.

Grant and luca love each other so. It's my favorite.

^^he tried to get back in the stroller. It was a good attempt.

While I got some loving from Nikolai luca was confused and jealous. I brought him up so he knew I still loved him too.

He has been so gentle with him so far. I'm sure that will change but we love it for now.

Luca has gotten so much more comfortable with Matt lately since we have seen him so much--Matt is the sweetest to him, they will be buds one day.

Nicole got the boys the cutest matching Eric Carl jams and we finally got them in them together! They posed so good for us.

Thank you Nicole for your beautious discount.

The one with baby Nikolai.

Well. Apparently if I don't just blog I never do. I can't believe I'm so behind again!! I just got caught up. Goodness.

Well Nikolai is a week and a half old, which is how old this post really is.

We kept Grant and Nicole while Matt and Sara were at the hospital.

We went to ihop for breakfast and grant colored a picture for Nikolai. And then it was made into a hat or boat. Whichever it was, it was left at the restaurant. Pictures are beautiful things.

On our way home while grant was feeling the need to hold hands with someone--who ended up being me--Sara texted us this picture and baby Nikolai was here!! Only after 4 short hours!! Yay for nice babies who love their mommies.

Grant and Nicole attempted naps when we got home, Nicole was all about it, but grant was not. They snuggled instead.

After naps we got paints out and let the boys go to town.

Well grant at least. He had a blast. He chose all his colors, wore a shirt apron and painted his heart out.

He even got his hands in there! He loved it.

Luca joined for a bit, spilled paint and fell off the chair on his head so he was done. He had enough. But he loved it when he was doing it!

Then of course baths were in order because of all the paint. Hallelujah for washable paint.

I had to bribe grant to be done painting basically because I already had started the bath. I ended up just leaving a little water in there and waiting for him to be done. He needed good distractions from being away from mom and dad.

They both kept sticking their faces in the bubbles and then talking. It was hilarious.

Grant kept asking for mom and dad so we facetimed lots and they sent videos and pictures. He probably spent a third of his days staring and wathunng them and telling us all about them. It was so sweet. He was so in tune with his little brothers emotions even before he met him.

They boys loved their time together and played tons.
Grant put us all in "time outs" over and over again. Just leading us around the house and pointing out the corners to sit in. That's Nicole in hers. ^^^^

Luca was chasing grant around to give him a "hug" which to luca means touching his head on the other person.

They are besties.

They shared so good for the most part. They pushed the cart around together.

Nicole helped with some puzzles. Grant really didn't need any help he did them all so good!

Sunday morning we met Sara and Matt at their house with their new babe. Grant was so ready to meet his brother. That's all he could talk about.

The hospital had dumb rules about kids on the baby floors so grant couldn't go, but it couldn't have been more perfect than it was. Being home was more than anyone expected I'm sure. It was an incredible thing to experience.

Grant just knew how special it was and the boys instantly connected. It was the sweetest thing ever.

We all got some baby snuggles after that, and took the first family of 4 pictures!

Nikolai is so loved over there and everywhere else too.
