Luca has started to carry around cars, everywhere he can. I have to pry them out of his hands sometimes.
But they are so tiny, and cheap, and keep him happy, quiet and occupied, so it doesn't bother me much.
We took the girls to the aquarium last week, and Luca loved having more people to chase him around, and hated having more people to chase him around all at once. I swear his goal in this place is to make it to the open fish tanks, stick his hand in to splash a bit, and then suck on that same hand before I catch him. It's nice to have extra eyes and feet.
We were checking out the anaconda--or python--I can't remember which it is, its over 15' long though--and lives with piranhas--I was back taking pictures of them all, and the girls were very focused on a piranha, and luca went between them and the glass and yelled, and they both screamed and jumped, it was awesome. Luca has learned well.
We ended up coming back to the net before we left, when nobody was in there to go again and again, I think it was the favorite for everyone--Luca included, as long as his shoes were off, they always get stuck under the rope, he doesn't appreciate that. The girls learned how hard it is to carry a child through there, and what a workout it is.
It was also extra helpful to have people to go in all the secret places with Luca so I could get pictures, he never wants to go in alone!
Second to the net and the joy it brings, for Luca anyway were these ropes (or snakes as he calls them) in the door ways. He and the girls ran through them for like 5 minutes. Luca didn't want to leave when we had too--they were closing or we would have stayed!
With our awesome store credit from ashley we finally got some barstools!! I didn't think Luca would be tall enough to use them yet-which almost made me not get them, but they are PERFECT!! I am so glad!! He loves to sit up there and eat with the big kids. He climbs up there on his own, so that will help me keep the counter clean too!
He is a pro at using a fork now too--I am basically not allowed to help, ever--which makes rice, oatmeal and everything else messy super fun. I usually trick him and feed him oatmeal myself, but it's hard.
