The one with a stormy sky.

See what I mean?? It's seriously been beautiful lately. This specific day was raining and stormy. On the right side. It was so dark. And then, just straight blue sky! What the heck.

That is one thing I love about utah and miss about ohio all at once. Ohios skys would turn completely dark, and mid-day it would look like it was midnight outside. That was one of my favorite things at school. I loved it.

And now--the way the sky contorts itself for storms is just as pretty. Just in a different way.

Although I wouldn't say no to a completely dark sky storm.

Sara and Grant came up on Tuesday because they had a water advisory and couldn't use it at all. We took the boys to play on the city creek dinosaurs.

It would have been a perfectly beautiful trip if it weren't for the crazy lady that was screaming at a little girl when we got there. Who wasn't even her own child we later learned. That was not cool. I finally let Luca down after a while and just watched him like a hawk until the scary lady left.

See that black skirt? That's the crazy lady.

Luca loves those eggs he can climb in. He takes forever figuring out how to get in, then acknowledges his own accomplishment by clapping for himself.

Usually he's good at getting back out too, but this time he just stayed there until i rescued him.

The boys had a blast. Grant followed older boys around mimicking their every move.

They are so good together niceness wise now. It's beautiful to not worry that we can't see them at any given moment.

Grant is so good at sharing now. He always lets Luca have a bite.

This has been his sickly sleeping position lately.

The other day, Luca and I were in the playroom reading stories and he left and played for a second in the living room, and then came back for more stories.

After that he left for a lot longer, so I followed him out and found this.

Needless to say I was not proud. Grossed out way more like it.

That bag behind him was our recycling bin for a bit, and he dug that can out of it. Now. Recycling will be in the cabinet forever.

The one with a dance recital.

Today was rainy again! Plus beautiful lightning and thunder!! Yay! I didn't even mind that I felt more tired than usual because it was all dark outside--and inside! I relished in that.

Luca and I hung out in his room getting baby clothes organized and put away. He liked to watch the rain too.

I hope he sees the beauty in a rainy day. They are my favorite. We don't get many (usually) and we treasure the ones we do!

I gave him half a banana to attempt to eat while I made a dinner for someone but he didn't understand that. So I cut it up and put them on a plate, which he also did not understand. I should have take pictures.

Even though basically only three bites of the whole banana got in his mouth he was covered all over in it. So I had to change him. And in the middle of that we had a monkey session. We are safe parents. He held on so good! I was right behind him I swear. And he liked it.

We went to see Cailynns dance recital tonight. We surprised her and she loved it. She did a great job! Luca liked all the lights and sparkly costumes.

Except he did not like when his daddy screamed as loud as he could to cheer on Cailynn. He didn't like that one bit.

Even (Great-?) uncle Cory held and played with Luca a bit! That was strange. And awesome. Everyone was shocked. In a very good way.

We had dinner with them, and Luca fussed a bit because it was already past his bedtime by the time we sat to eat after our wait. We didn't head home until about 9:30 and Luca stayed awake most of the drive which I was impressed by. He did end up falling asleep, and was so asleep that he stayed asleep when I got him out and brought him upstairs. That never ever ever happens. His eyes pop right open when we turn the car off usually.

I put him--still sleeping--in his crib and took his pants off. I was just planning on leaving him in his shirt. He kicked a little, opened his eyes, looked up at me, smiled and laid back down. I was hoping he would just go back to sleep. He laid there quietly for quite a while. But sleep was not his plan. He started laughing and chatting away so we went to change his diaper.

He was seriously yelling and talking and playing with Jose for the longest time. He was so happy and didn't seem a bit tired. The weirdo.

They played on the changing table a bit, Luca stood so good on it too--for a solid 30 seconds at least all on his own. He just giggled about it.

Then Jose gave him some more milk and laid him down for good. He stayed awake chatting to himself and his bear for at least 15 more minutes before he gave in to his droppy eyes and finally fell asleep.

I love my babe. I am so glad he can be happy whenever he wakes up! Although I'll never understand it because if I get woken up--you better believe I will be a monster--it's not pretty.  I'm glad he is like that because it happens all too often for him. Mostly in the car. Life of a babe.

The one with another day in Eagle Mountain.

I was going to say I was kind of sorry almost all of my posts are intertwined with Sara's, because of how often we see each other. But I'm not sorry. Not one bit. I'd go crazy without someone near by!!

I took some pictures on my way into her little valley of a neighborhood. The clouds were perfect and of course these pictures don't show it. But you get the picture. Rain was coming--and that was the beauty there.

Luca and Grant are such buddies. I love watching them together!! I can't wait until Luca is a little older and they can really play together. Thanks for not moving on me woman.

I swear he liked that game the whole time we played it. No maddness.

It's so funny to watch them both get jealous. Luca not so much of course, he doesn't understand, but Grant. That is a different and awesome thing to watch. It's so funny. We try hard to let them both sit or play--but he wants to do just exactly what Luca is doing. Which is fine--except he isn't a tiny 6 month old. He's a toddler. And that makes it hard.

I asked Grant to teach Luca to crawl. He did so good demonstrating. He lifted each leg and explained, "cwal this, cwal this" it was adorable. And look how attentive Luca is. But nope. Soon though! He's an intense rocker.

And he sticks his right leg out straight when he gets up on his knees to push. It's coming people!

And Grant took his sock off sometime before that. I just hadn't gotten around to putting it back on. He didn't really need it.

This was our "I feel the need to be just like the baby" moment of the day. It's not easy to hold them both up!
