Jose put Luca down to bed the other day, and then we heard him crying--which isn't normal--so Jose went up there to see what was wrong, and Luca was standing at the door holding this jacket--he begged Jose to put it on him, and once he did Luca climbed right back into bed and went to sleep.
When he got up in the morning he was still wearing it. Weirdo.
And yes, he is eating a dorito at 8:50am. He is so independent now that he can open doors--if I am getting ready in the morning he will go down and get a snack from the pantry to hold him over until breakfast--he will bring it back up to me if he can't open it, and if its chips, so be it.
Kelly, Thomas and little baby Annie finally got to come play yesterday! The boys played super well together, for the most part, and I enjoyed adult conversation with one of my favorite ladies.
We went to my neighbors pizza place for lunch, and the boys were both contained in high chairs. It was busy so we had to wait a bit for the pizza so they snacked and Thomas got to enjoy "Feast" for the first time. This tiny short film is to boys what frozen was to girls--and lets face it, almost everyone-ha. He giggled and giggled the whole time loving it--he couldn't even hear it well since we were in public and it was turned down--but it was a mega hit. We just started it over until the food came.
Baby Annie snoozed away while we ate.
After lunch, and naps Nicole, Luca and I headed to Target to get a few more things for her room--we still didn't get the main thing we went for--a long mirror, because they didn't have good ones--but we left with so much fun stuff--SHOCKING, I know.
We played in the halloween section forever, Luca wasn't a fan of the masks, but he seems to understand that they are just that, and that someone is underneath. He kept telling Nicole "no" and pulling her masks off. I put a million on him, but he never kept them on long enough for a picture.
All of their back to school stuff is waaaaay marked down, so we got some markers for 28 cents, and a huge pack of paint brushes for 88 cents. We left with tons of stuff, but 85% of it was under $1!
It snowed while we were having lunch with Kelly--see it all up in the mountains? It obviously didn't snow enough to stick down here, and it looked like rain, but it was most definitely snow.
Because of said snow--this was necessary.
Then we put up our new halloween things--because, why not?? Nicole was watching white christmas at this point. We will just mix everything.
We also made taco soup for dinner--because that is what cold weather calls for.
We put up, "Mr. Bones"--I told you, White Christmas was on--and Luca loved him at first.
^^hes making a scary face and roaring at the skeleton there--I couldn't get him to turn around and do it.
Later in the evening he was walking toward him, and would run away before he got to close like he was scared, and then do it again and again--he still loves him so I know he was just playing around.
Our Fall collection of decorations is growing!! I love it all.
