The one with Conference and some organizing.

Analia and I went to the General Womens meeting for conference on Saturday--They filled the entire conference center--which surprisingly doesn't actually happen that often.  I love the women's meeting because we all get to sing more than once--hymns are my favorite.  They bring such a spirit, and singing with that many women is amazing.

The speakers were great, my favorite was the first, she spoke about the Savior and how because we are his children, we not only need him in our lives, but he needs us--That hit me hard--probably because I can completely understand that now, being a mother.  It gave me another perspective, and another source of motivation to keep close to my Savior.  I just pictured Luca moving away from me when he grows up, and never calling, or visiting or checking in, or caring.  Its an incredibly sad thought, and yet, that is what so many people do everyday to the Lord. I need to be better at that.

It was so beautiful when we left, and if I hadn't been scared of the crowds, and attempting to beat them all out of there I would have gone over to temple square for more pictures--plus Analia was starving.

WHERE is my baby?? There is no way he will be 2 in just three weeks.

So.  Remember all the planing I said I did for these stupid pictures??  Turns out it doesn't even matter--they failed anyway.

It took me days to figure out a good layout, and when I finally did, I took pictures, I played out paper, I traced them, I hung the paper, and leveled the pictures, I measured the walls, and everything.

Then when I went to hang them they all are stupid.  They don't work at all, and to hang them the way IKEA thinks they should be hung is impossible at the moment as they don't give you enough of the attachments you need to do it.  So I have to go back and see if I can get more.  I am annoyed.

I had an urge to listen to this song the other day--so I did, and I can't believe all the words I still remember.  Mackenzie and I were super cool kids and would dance around the room and act it out.  "I hold my nose, I close my eyes, and take a drink!"

Nicole has had to get some doctory things for school, and a stethoscope was one of those things.  We all took turns playing with it, and Luca let me listen to his heart a few times.  I hope this will help with doctor visits, but I doubt it.

I FINALLY finished the playroom!!! Organizationally anyway.  I still need an art hanger, and one or two more bins.  But I am so happy its done!! I have been avoiding it at all costs lately because it just still needed so much work.  Now I willingly go in there to play, and sometimes just to stare.  I love organization. Plus also for working for Tiffany who is the master of Organizing and gave me so many fabulous ideas to steal.

I let Luca "talk" to daddy today on my iMessages.  He had a ball texting him, and typing.  Jose was super confused for a bit, but I send him this picture so he understood.

The one with a goodbye.

Mackenzie and Tony packed up the van and headed back home on Tuesday morning, it was very sad.  We miss them so much!! Don't wait so long to come back next time!

I had a picture of them driving off, and cropped their licence plate off but its back, so I won't post it.  Just imagine them waving and driving off!

My bruise, a few days after my lovely fall.  During the second session of conference on saturday I missed the last step down the stairs, and Mackenzie watched me disappear behind the couch.  It was pretty hilarious.  I was bruised, but fine, and happy to give them some amusement. While I was at jens I fell down her hard stairs, just the last three, but had 3 giant bruises from that.  The worst was on my butt, so nobody except Jose knows how bad it really was. Let me just say this--I bruise like my mom!  Now imagine it--if you know her.  :) I still love you mom.

Putting pom poms on his head.  Everyday.  He loves those things.

We went to Costco with my MIL and let Luca walk, he was thrilled.

But then we had to leave the little house, he was not thrilled then.  We literally dragged him away.  One day we will get him a play house!

I let him do some sensory play while Jose and I made breakfast or something this day, and it was a good idea, until he dumped all those beans on the floor.

From now on, only on the floor on the sheet, or outside.

Hes a master of forkistry.

Analia came over to hang out, and wasn't feeling awesome so we watched, The Blind Side, because she hadn't seen it!  It was a hit, and Luca always loves when she comes over.

The one with mud.

Luca has been Mr. Independent lately. He wouldn't let me feed him Cheerios--he had to do it all himself. He did such a good job, I was super impressed. He spilled very little milk on himself--and since I was sitting next to him I was able to stop him from drinking from the bowl.

He was very satisfied with himself.

We were going out to the store with Grandma and Aunt Ana and I asked luca to get his shoes. He loves to choose which ones to wear, and I try to let him wear the ones he chooses.  However today was a chilly morning and he brought his new flip flops to me. I had to tell him no because it was too cold.

This was the reaction I got. He got over it quickly but it was sad.

After shopping and lunch luca napped and when he woke up he was all snuggly.

^^he held my hand like that for a long time. It was adorable.

Then we headed outside with our neighbor, Analia and started to clean the garage. She was technically watching luca, although he doesn't think he needs that.

It had been rainy so I was worried about the muddy grass, but that was all. Luca ran and splashed through the water puddles, and then found the small area of mud right by our driveway.

He made good use of that small amount.

He tasted it, threw it around, wiped his hands on the grass, rolled the balls through it too.

He was covered.

Shockingly I only got the garage halfway cleared. That is why it's always a crazy mess.

We went to see Sara and the boys the next day and hung out.

I didn't get many pictures.

Luca just wanted to touch Nikolais little socks and the red part of the buckle.

We went to the store and the boys sat waiting for Sara to pull the car out.

After that luca dug a scarf out of Saras dresser and wore it around. He danced and laughed at himself and then Hrant joined.

Luca has been giving me lots of "charly" moments lately. When I ask him to say "mama" he says "dada" every. Time. It's pretty hilarious--probably because I'm not dying, so it can be funny.
He mimicks my tone and length when I say "maaaaamaaaaa" all long and stuff, but says "daaaaaadaaaaa."

Whatever. Crazy person. One day he will say it more than I can handle I'm sure.
