The one where we have grass!

We went to lunch with Grandma, and Luca drank his milk off the table.  Yum.

We finally got our grass put in!! We are still waiting for it to set, so that we can actually use it, and walk across it without falling in. But when its all done it will be so nice to have!! Luca can play out there whenever and I don't have to worry about the street!

It amazes me how dirty this kids feet get, even when he is wearing shoes most of the day!! That is what summer is for.

I wish I could make a flipagram or something to repeat these pictures over and over again so you could see what I see.  Its awesome.

This is Lucas current favorite place to be in any store.  Its totally fine by me, except when he just jumps off whenever he pleases, I feel like I'm going to break his little legs off one of these times.

We went to Ikea with Thomas and Kelly, and played and played.  The boys were both so nice this time!  They are growing on each other again!  Hooray!  They will be forced to be BFFs--so they have no choice.  I am glad they are on board now.

The one with a map game.

A couple of weeks ago we ended up at chick fil a on their "military appreciation" night.  They had the cow out and took pictures for free!  Luca wouldn't go near it, unless I was with him so we all took a picture with the cow.  Luca did end up giving him a high five before we left too.

Costco has their awesome maps back, so we got a set for Luca.  They are a little chaotic, but I am getting used to them.   Luca loves them, so that makes it worth it.  They have all kinds of stuff on them, state information, where the titanic sunk, and all kinds of landmarks all over the world.  I am learning things, and so is Luca!

He climbed all over Jose while they were looking at it, and got very into finding things.

Luca and his tongue are buds lately.  Constantly, actually.  He hangs it out all the time, doing whatever.

Luca and I met Kelly and Thomas at the aquarium the other day, Luca didn't want to get closer than arms length with Thomas for some reason, and was the bully of the day.  He hit Thomas a few times, which was incredibly sad.  We let them run around and explore.  The stingray petting tank was the hit of the afternoon.  They stood there on the ledge trying to reach the water forever.

The one with some days with Thomas.

Kelly and I met up at thanksgiving point one morning so the boys could play. We chose the dinosaur museum because it's usually the least crowded--but unfortunately for us there were a whole slew of school groups there!

We stayed ahead of them for the most part so the boys didn't get lost or overwhelmed.

These boys are buds. I love when we can get together! They always teach each other things.

We sat for a bit and had some goldfish. Thomas fed Luca all of his, and loved every minute of it.

You can see his pure joy. And of course Luca had no objections. Even when he already had around 10 fish in his mouth.

Then a few days later Kelly and Thomas came to us to try out the splash pad!

Lucas favorite thing is the shower still, so I thought he would love it. He wouldn't touch it. Neither would Thomas. Clearly a successful trip.

We both ended up swinging the boys into the water--which wasn't appreciated for the most part. They fought over toys which had to be taken away eventually, and then chased each other around and laughed. Not touching the water, but they still had fun.

We got lunch after and then tried out some of cutlers cookies once Sara and her boys got here. They were so so delicious. Oh man. Yum.

I won't say anymore about the embarrassment surrounding that.

Kelly and Thomas left after cookies and Sara and the boys and Luca and I ran some errands and then played at the house for a bit. Luca ended up with quite the battle wound on his forehead from hugging grant around the waist from behind and trying to run around. They love each other.

The one with a zoo day!

All the rain lately has made the mountains explode with green. It's so beautiful and I LOVE it! It is gorgeous out there.

Kelly and Thomas met us at the zoo yesterday--it was chillier than we expected but other than that a perfect zoo day! There were school groups but we kept ahead of them, and basically had every thing to ourselves!

Both boys were bums and woke up freakishly early--5am for Luca and 6:30 for Thomas, so they weren't fully into everything, and we had some fits, but for the lost part all four of us enjoyed it.

We let the boys run around to get their energies out.

It's dinosaur time at the zoo again, and Luca thought they were cool--from a distance--this one roared at him once he was at the fence--he didn't appreciate it after that.
Thomas gave them a wide berth but never took his eyes off them. It was hilarious.

They had many conversations.

He ran in and out of the bear house so many times and posed like that.

We rode the caurosel and it was a hit until it started to move. Then we all ended up sitting.

Then we rode the train. It was a bigger hit than the carousel, for once.

While Luca was running around he fell several times--I know that's shocking--and he ended up re-opening his scraped knee. He bled lots, all over me, so I ended up putting his first bandaid on!! Like Kenz said--it's surprising he lasted so long--but it's shorts weather now--so he's actually hurting himself. He's been in pants forever, which were helpful in this area.

We ate at city creek for lunch--and let the boys run out their last energies on the dinosaurs there.

We are basically all making the same exact faces, and in the same spots. But look at the boys!!! Stop growing!

We are SO beyond glad that our friends are back!! We need buddies our age!

Thomas taught Luca how to do a real fishey face yesterday! He was doing it all the way home. I love watching their minds go when they see someone else their size accomplish something!

We pretty much made a pack to never move away again. We need friends. Making new ones is hard, especially when you love your old ones so much!!
