The one with the trip back home.

Well we made it! Luca and I are back in Utah! As much as I hate leaving and not getting to see my family whenever I want, it's good to be home!

And as a plus my husband cleaned the whole thing! You'd never guess we had dogs two weeks ago! Yay!

I was super worried about Luca not sleeping tonight, because he's had such a hard time since we've been gone. I put him down last night, and he had the weirdest freak out/panic attack I have ever seen him have! It took me a good ten minutes just to calm him down, and then I had to hold him until he was asleep. He kept opening his eyes to make sure I was still there in-between his fewer, but still coming huge breaths trying to calm himself. It was so sad. I didn't know why he was so sad!

Everything is so new again, even his own room, it's going to take a few days to get used to it again.

However, after I calmed him down and he fell asleep in my arms he slept ALL night long in his crib until 7:30!! Which was like 9:30 to us. That was beautiful of him.

Kenz got these fire truck jams for Luca while we were out there--they are ao cute! He got too hot in them in ohio, but he will wear them tonight!

We hung out at the airport for a bit yesterday and I found this sock money buckeye--and of course I had to get it! And I found a mini football. And got one for Grant too! Luca didn't care about that as much.

So thrilled.

Our first flight was to Phoenix. Four dan hours. Never again alone. My goodness. That was the worst of the four flights, and he was still really good! Especially comparing him to the other like 9 babies on board. There were more than I've ever seen!

It's just hard to entertain someone in the same seat with the same toys for that long. Luckily he is occupied with wrappers and cups so there were lots of different ones for him to play with, but you can only love that for so long.

He slept for the first 45 minutes, and the last half hour, of course the loudest and most turbulent time of the entire flight. My child is strange. But it's so much better than a screaming baby in pain!

Our last flight was absolutely PERFECT though. So it evened out. He slept for an hour or so of it, and then just laughed the rest. Literally. It was beautiful. And only an hour and fifteen minutes. I will for sure be planning better flights from now on. Shorter is way better.

Here's one of the last pictures I took in ohio. I was doing laundry and he needed some lovin so I gave him a ride. A super comfortable ride I'm sure.

The one with old friends.

Well we headed back to Hilliard today. We left just after tony was done with court, and made it here by 1. We dropped tony off at his parents house and Luca, kenz and I met up with our old friends and old young women leaders, Misti, Andrea and Margo. We LOVE them!!! I so miss them in my daily life. They are such uplifting beautiful women. We just want to be them.

I would honestly move back here JUST to live by them again and get to see them more often. They are seriously wonderful. We just chatted and caught up on our lives for a few hours. Oh I miss these times.

Kenz and Tony had to head back up earlyish because Tony had a detail tonight so he went to work.

So we hung out with grandma and Nicole all night. We went to find shoes for Morgans wedding--which is on Saturday people!! Only 4 days away!

We went to a few stores and then, not enthusiastically we went into Payless, just because it was there. I never find anything there. And what do you know? Perfect ones! Simple, and not too high of a heel that will kill me, or make me fall on my face, and on sale! Hooray!

We came home and just lounged around and laughed at my babe the rest of the night. He's good entertainment.

However. Bedtime. Oh the joys. It's even more fun now. He rolls. So he gets so worked up, rolls over, gets mad that he's rolled over, flips out even more, told back over and just continues the cycle for a bit. It's real fun.

Tonight he settled to sleep on his tummy with his bum up in the air and off to the side a bit. Weirdo.

He has also finally learned the joys of letting us tap on his mouth while he makes noises. It's so hilarious. He just keeps making the noises for it no matter what. Sometimes he gets mad when we stop, sometimes he's mad when we are doing it, but he keeps making the sounds for us! He's a good sport.

I am seriously in love with these pants! They are my favorite. Oh my word.

My mom got this for us at a girls camp auction! I love it! I've been wanting a cute one for so long!  I can't wait to put it up-minus the hair. This is the "Family, a Proclamation to the World." It talks about the sacred duties of families and marriage, and the responsibilities of men and women in the family. It's a beautiful thing to read and keep in your home. If you want to know more about it you can click on the "families are forever" button on the top left.

The one with the last day at the Martin's.

Last night after conference Luca and I joined kenz and tony for a walk in the park. But our walk turned into a mini park trip because basically the entire trail was underwater. They've had so much snow (87inches-just since January!!) so it's all been melting into the river.

We pushed Luca in the swing a but before we left because he needed a diaper change.

When he gets super excited he yells and gets all stiff like he can't handle the excitement. It's like the monkey from cloud with a chance of meatballs, Steve. EXCITED! And it's my favorite. We went to the library to get it to watch today but it wasn't there.

Seriously his favorite toys here have been Tupperware, cups, and a wheat thins box.  Why do we buy toys?

Luca was fussing like crazy today on our drive for lunch and to Lake Erie and I couldn't help at all. So kenz put on Jose's cd and he crashed right out. That boy missed his daddy.

We went to max and ermas I haven't been there forever!! Luca actually drank out of my cup.

We made it to Lake Erie only to stand out there for me to take these pictures and get back in the car. It was freezing. And Mackenzie is a weirdo and didn't wear shoes.

And then as we were pulling away from the lake he popped his eyes open and smiled all big like he was pretending the whole time.

Kenz went to work, and Luca was asleep so she told me to enjoy my relaxation time, and I said he'd probably wake up as soon as she shut the door. She left, I went to the bathroom. And he was up.

Good thing he's so cute. We watched frozen together and facetimed daddy. He's a pro roller now!! He rolled to me and I had to keep moving backwards for him to keep coming! And daddy got to see it all! Yay!

We facetimed dad again before bed so he could read scriptures to Luca. He laid so still and listened so quietly tonight!

And then daddy grabbed the bear. Luca loves the thing and just sat and stared at it for a good five minutes.

I love that he loves kenz so much. He cuddles with her like he does for nobody else. It's so sweet. And now. They need to move by me. Now. Now. Now.

The one with conference!

We've all been hanging out at TONY and Mackenzie's this weekend for conference. Lots of loving on Luca, eating and laughing at Luca.

Kenz and tony are so good to put up with everyone. Going from 2 people in your house to 7 is an adjustment even just for two days. Bedtime was interesting. But Luca let everyone sleep till 9:30! That was so nice of him.

We waited for everyone to get here yesterday to start the party. Luca likes to watch outside.

Everyone is getting their Luca fill in. Not that it will be enough once we leave. I will never stop asking to move the two states. It can't be all that difficult.

Even Uncle Tony got some Luca time and got spit up on and survived! Yay! He even wanted him back after he got spit up on. He put him to sleep today too while we were all working on all the food to stuff our faces with.

Luca loves grandpas. He's got two wonderful ones.

Halie even held him!! Yay that was a new development. And a beautiful one.

Grandma Becky read him scriptures last night. So adorably.

Conference is so awesome but if anyone in the world can claim never ever falling asleep during a session is lying. Grandpa Danny put Luca to sleep, and rocked himself right out too.

This is our conference sunday norm.

And so much food. Which was Jose's most excited thoughts. So I sent him these pictures. He appreciated that.

Conference is such a wonderful time I love listening to our leaders speak and give guidance and council that we never even thought we needed to hear. And then of course there are the talks that are so needed in this day and age.

Jose got to go to the Sunday morning session. That was always one of my favorite things. Who knows when that will ever be possible again.

We got Luca some new pants last night at Mackenzie's store, I swear they are the hardest thing in the world to find for tall skinny babes. But I love them! We found these blue and the yellow ones from earlier and some turquoiseish ones that he will fit in super soon.

We went for a walk inbeteeen the sessions because it was so nice out today! We went down to the river by the their house and walked around in downtown Perrysburg. It's so old and full of character. I love it! I miss old ohioness. Utah isn't old enough to have old cities yet! Which is weird to think about.

Luca has been taken by the color red lately. Anything and everything will catch and keep his attention for quite a while.

Even the seatbelt buckle. He tries super hard to sit up to reach it.

And. ITS MACKENZIE'S BIRTHDAY TODAY!! Hooray! She's 21 today! Happy birthday to you!! She has been the biggest help ever with my child. It helps that he is just as smitten with her as she is with him, but still! You are going to be quite the mommy one day.

Happy happy birthday my sister! I hope this year brings nothing but fabulousness for you!!
