The one with some birthday cake.

Analia and Blake came over to hang out with us a few days before halloween--Luca made her sit in his tent with him.

He still finds that statue on every map he can find.

And his costume.  He modeled it several times before we actually trick or treated.  He loved the thing.

Those balloons didn't die for so long, I am actually pretty positive there is one or two upstairs still.

We took Nicole and Cailynn to see the hispanic cultural event at the conference center--however if you ask Nicole, it was just a David Archuletta concert.  It was very cool, even luca enjoyed himself.

We finally had a cake to eat for Luca, so he got more candles to blow out.  Grandpa and Ana came to eat it with us.

Then we watched Lucas favorite, Baymax.  He sat with Grandpa the entire time.

The one with no floor.

The floor guys came this morning and tore out all the floor--I made luca some eggs downstairs while he was chatting it up with his bear in bed. I brought them up and we watched frozen together to pass the time--slash pass my migraine. I basically just laid under a blanket and wanted to die. But Luca loved his life.

And his bear of course.

This is all they ended up doing. Totally fine--as long as I do not have to call them again! It was incredibly inconvenient to move everyrhing out of downstairs and living without a downstairs.

We shopped with Grandma Rosie and Aunt Ana, and then went to cafe rio for lunch. With no table, chairs or floors at home we had a fat day out.

After naps--and naps is plural because I joined luca. That migraine almost got me completely today. BLAH to them. Especially coming in the middle of the night.

Anyway. We decided on a bike ride--it was too rainy for the zoo, and ikea was too far.

Analia joined us, and we just went to the park. I'm still pathetic out there but I'll et there! After I get a new seat that doesn't bruise my bum.

Luca ran around like a crazy, went down all the slides, fell a million times and loved it. It started to rain again so we headed home.

We had to drag luca inside.

I momentarily forgot we had no floor and invited Analia over, but then I remembered. So we went to her house instead. Luca searched far and wide for the cats. He loves those gals.

They tolerate him well. He just wants to pet them so bad. One day he will catch them.

We met blake at the pizza pie cafe for dinner. Again. Fat day. No floor.

This next picture basically describes luca the whole time. Although he ate a TON which was good.

Then after he was just too crazy I gave him the phone and he watched super why. He was so tired by the end--we get so into our conversations time just flys by when we are with our friends!
A

We got luca a new snoopy tooth brush today--hoping it would make teeth brushing more bareable. (It didn't by the way).

Is it just me, or do kid toothbrushes get gross way faster than adults? Or do ours get gross that fast but we don't notice? I feel like we have gone through so many with luca already!
Who knows. But now I need a new toothbrush.

The one with a bike ride and eggs.

Guatemalan tradition for Easter eggs,  Cascarones as they are called. You carefully cut a hole out of the egg, empty it--and use the eggs so they aren't wasted--and then carefully clean it. Let the shells dry, cut out a whole ton of confetti and then fill the eggs up, and patch your hole up with paper and glue. Then you decorate them.

And then you throw them at peoples heads.

Okay, not really throw them. But you crack them on people's heads, foreheads, on their neck so everything does down their shirt. Anywhere.

My sister in law made luca some of these "Cascarones" just for him to experience.

We got the bikes out and ready for a ride. We headed over to my inlaws so we could smash those eggs.

Remember how they only live 7 blocks from us? Well at around block 4 I already wanted to die. I am SO out of shape it is beyond ridiculous. Bike rides need to be regular so I'm not so pathetic out there.

We were all excited for Luca to do it.

But he was not so much.

Poor kid. And I needed pictures before I could console him apparently.

He wouldn't touch any more after that. So we broke the rest and just threw the confetti up and watched it all.

Our old neighbor kids were out and came over to enjoy it all too. I'm sure their parents appreciated all the confetti in their hair--they will probably have to vacuum it out.

Grandpa took a bike round around the driveway--and then luca just wanted to sit in the trailer. For basically the rest of the time. He loves it in there--even though it doesn't look like it in either picture.

After luca went to bed we moved all the furniture out of the living room so the floor guys can finally come and fix it all tomorrow morning!!

I swept and swiffered all good--even though it's pointless because they will dirty it all up tomorrow--it's probably the cleanest the room has been since before we moved in since I could reach everywhere.

Wish us luck living with no floor for two days! We will be living upstairs. Food will be interesting.
