The one where Baby Lyla is Blessed!

Lyla was blessed by her daddy on August 30th.

Her dress was perfect, the blessing was beautiful, and she didn't make a peep the whole hour of sacrament meeting.  Mackenzie, the kids, Nicole, Halie and I left after sacrament meeting on account of the hand foot and mouth that was circling her ward--no thank you.  We got to have some quiet before everyone got back.

She is just the best!!

We had lunch down at the park by the lake after.  Grandpa Danny and Nicole and Halie went down to the pier to watch the water.

Someone found a buckeye so I took advantage of that situation and made Luca pose.  I searched for one at every park we went to!

It was sooo hot that day, and just before this picture I had poured water on Lucas head to cool him down.

We did mini photo shoots that day after everyone left.  Luca wanted to hold Lyla for a bit--until he didn't, when he was done he would just push her right off his lap like a stuffed animal.  It was amusing only because we were (obviously) right there to catch her.

Mackenzie got this ladybug outfit from a friend so we took pictures of her in that before she was too big!

Luca was super helpful.

We drove back to Grandmas that evening and in the morning sent Nicole and all her belongings--and some of mine--and not that cradle dang it--off to Utah!

The one when we meet Baby Lyla!

Luca and I got to Ohio late on Tuesday evening, and Nicole was waiting for us right out the gate!  Luca loved on her while I gathered our bags and waited, and waited and waited for the carseat to come.  Then they turned off the baggage carousel, no carseat.  So I went to talk to the ladies and they said that Salt Lake had emailed them, saying that it, and a few other bags were still there--super helpful.

I wasn't sure what to do--I couldn't leave without a carseat!  Then they told me they had loaners they could give me, and then they could deliver mine when it finally came, or I could pick it up for a $50 Southwest voucher!  Grandma and Grandpa live so close to the airport, so we opted to come back to grab it, totally worth it!  I got a call around 9pm that it had finally gotten there, so we went to grab it the next afternoon.

Luca didn't nap at all on the plane, which shocked me--we had to get up at 6am to be on time for crying out loud, so on the way home he was fading, and I kept asking if he was tired, but he always said no, of course--this was probably 6 minutes after.

Nicole came with me while Luca napped and we were supposed to run a few different errands after, but I spaced it after getting a call from sara--its all her fault--and came straight back to the house.  Once we got here and I hung up the phone I noticed that my mom had texted me asking if I could grab a few things for dinner, and then I remembered the other stuff we were supposed to do--so we headed back out.

Kenz said she was planning on coming down that on Saturday on her way to a birthday party--so we were so looking forward to seeing them and their new babe!!

When we got back from our errands there was a white van out front, and I knew it was Mackenzie's, but Nicole said it was probably just a neighbor--BUT IT WAS her!  She came down to be all sneaky.
Nicole totally knew she was coming too, but she played well.

We got some snuggle time with little baby Lyla, or "Wywa" as Luca calls her, and he was soft as can be with her.  He gave her lots of kisses.

He was not besties with Tony at first, but they persevered, and became buds--Tony gave him candy, so of course that set him up for success.

Kenz is the most adorable, attentive mommy ever, its the sweetest to watch.  Lyla is one lucky babe.

Halie had Morgan Bair over for a bit, and they entertained Luca in the kitchen for over a half hour, under the table for most of that, he was dying of laughter.

Tony and Mackenzie brought Tribbi with them, and Tony was taking the dog out for a long walk so we attempted the ergo baby, he didn't love that thing--I never used one with him, so he's just not used to it!

Nicole ended up going with them, so she pushed him in the stroller.

Tribe took over after a while, and pulled Luca along, that dog is a helpful one.

Luca only got probably 10 more mosquito bites on that walk, I have got to go get some bug repellent.

Luca was good with the babe for the most part, but sometimes he just needed love, and didn't want to be ignored.

We love that they came down to see us so fast!! We will see them again on Sunday on their way back up home, and then we will go up to stay with them for a bit.

The one with our first days in Ohio.

Luca has been spending a lot of time up on the kitchen chairs watching and playing with Tribbi through the window.

And eating gigantic tortillas.

We went to see grandma at her delicious work too.  Luca discovered some dripping water--so of course he had to play in it.  It wasn't gross dirty don't worry--although, I can't speak for the pvc pipe it was dripping in, and Luca got his entire arm down in there, and attempted to get his face in there, thankfully it was too big.

^^Smiling face--thank you daddy.^^  This is all I get when I ask for it now.

Lyla is the best.   I love having a niece--especially for shopping times.

Luca got his first official time out yesterday too--I am working on more practical punishments, but my word its not as easy as it sounds.
He got it because he was playing in the bathroom, I noticed he was in there, and headed back down the hall, and said, "hey, you get outta there!" it was quiet until I got close to the door, then he stuck his hand in the toilet and splashed like a crazy head and as hard as he could, it was everywhere, punk.

He bonded with Halie super fast when we got here, she is so good with him, he likes to boss her around, shocking, I know.

Grandpa Danny took Luca to see a neighbor, but she wasn't home, so they headed off to the park, where Grandpa let him had some independence and just followed him around and watched him jump off everything.

This morning Luca sat and went through all of the movies under the TV, said no to them all, and just kept going and going.  Then, Harry Potter was there.  It won.

He just chilled out on the rug to watch for a while.  Then behind the couch--I was surprised he fit back there, but he just crouched back there forever.

Then Luca ordered Nicole into the bedroom, naked, because I was attempting to dress him but he escaped, and made her sit by him while he played on the iPad.  She scratched his back for like 15 minutes, and he just sat and let her, which isn't normal.
