Luca and I met Sara and Grant at the aquarium the other day, we were sad Cassi and her kiddos were sick and couldn't make it, but we still had fun!
We don't come to the aquarium enough, but nobody ever wants to come with us--which I totally understand because it is so dang expensive! This year we will be getting other passes that is for sure.
Luca is just loving his independence and running free. I let him do it as much as I could while we were there so that he could be all worn out.
We went to see one of their 4D movies that squirt water at you--I did not appreciate that, and that even startled me at some points. We picked the turtle movie so it would be good for the boys but we were in for it. Grant hid his face for most of it and Luca started to cry a few times. I don't blame them.
We played in the dark area with stairs to climb on the longest. Shocking. The boys ran around like crazies, and pushed the boundaries of normal social conduct and sat basically on strangers laps. It was pretty hilarious. I only had to stop Luca from escaping once, and Sara and I sat and relaxed and ate delicious oreo cream cheese dip I brought.
We brought lunches and ate them together and then we all went home for naps. It worked out perfectly for us, Luca fell asleep right before we got home, and went back down as soon as we went in. I love this stage for that.
