Dang, this post was supposed to be first, oh well.
Luca has had quite the time making mischief over here. He has much to much freedom for nap time in someone else's room. He has not napped more times than I can count in his short life. He has torn everything apart that he can get his hands on.
He climbed up two different dressers on two different occasions, to get to candy one time, and the iPad another.
If he can get ahold of the salt shakers (we have gotten smarter and kept them on the counter now) he dumps out like half of it, all over the table, and then pushes it all over the table. Its really fun to clean up. Today he took it a step further and poured a layer over and then proceeded to lick it all up--yum.
Everyone has loved on Luca, and been so awesome with him. Halie plays with him all the time.
Sticking everyone and every thing around him has been a new thing. Church is interesting, I end up picking up at least 30 off the bench, floor, shoes, me and everyone around us.
^^ he fell and smacked his face and made his lip all fat one Sunday--he was running in the kitchen and slid onto a rug, which slid out from under him.
This back massager has been Lucas favorite toy here. Whenever he finds it, he goes to the nearest person, hands it to them, and turns around and waits.
For whatever reason, bedtime turns Luca into the psycho crazy head who is uncontrollable. He just laughs at everything obnoxiously, and can't calm down to sleep. The first few times here it didn't make a difference in bedtime, but now, my land I can't get my child to sleep for the life of me. Half the time it isn't worth the struggle and work, so we just pray and I leave, instead of reading. We need to start reading scriptures at another time apparently.
I came out to the living room one day to see that. ^^ My mom was sorting laundry out and Luca had to stand right in front of her in the middle of all her work, but she just worked right around him--shes such a good example to me--its been nice to be here and hear what she would do--Luca is just in this lovely stage and it is HARD.
We went to Meijer to grocery shop and let Luca ride the penny horse--he hated it at first, but by the end he loved it! I love that they still have that thing, I remember riding it as a kid, while we waited for mom to check out.
Oh man. The backyard. It is just exploding with green and trees and awesomeness. It is just a jungle. I dressed Luca in anti mosquito clothes, and made him go back with me for pictures.
One day I will live somewhere with a million trees again. I will.
The green is awesome. I miss it so bad in brown Utah. I wish Fall would have come early so I could see some of that, but I will settle for the green!
But you're probably missing mountains a little, yah?
