My sister in law got us tickets to disney on ice for yesterday, in the 7th row!! It was so close and fabulous! Luca latest a while watching, and then had no interest. But overall it was a great time!!
We parked at the gateway, and walked through the old Union Pacific building. It brought back lots of memories for me. When I was going to the business college I worked at the gateway and walked through this building almost everyday! It has so much amazing architecture and history. I remember walking through all the time and reminisced a little.
Jose gave Luca a piece of jerky right before we left to go to Disney on ice.
During intermission I dug it out of his mouth. He was mad and didn't want me to take it.
Seriously. Over an hour and a half he had it just sitting in there. That's why his mouth is all puckered in these pictures.
I have been to Disney on ice several times before, but this one had so many different things that weren't in any of the other ones!
I may just be looking too much into this, but I really think they chose some of the characters to involve by using once upon a time, if you watch it, you'll see. Just wait.
They had Fantasia (OUT), alice in wonderland (OUT), and the nightmare before Christmas--which was actually kind of creepy! They had zombie and everything.
They also had some songs from Rio, and Pinocchio and the blue fairy (both from OUT).
Then they brought out a ton of villains. Most of which are on OUT as well. Maleficent, Cruella De Vil, Hook, Jaffar, and the Evil Queen from Snow White.
Luca got restless for a while and got down and danced while watching.
Then during intermission, as I was digging out that piece of jerky, Jose went to get some popcorn. Which basically occupied luca for the remainder of the show--except the time he spent with the lid from our drink.
He was hugging that bucket so tightly. He had to have it right on his lap.
Then all the princesses came out, of course, Mickey and the gang, tiana--from the princess and the frog, and the fairy godmother.
Toy story came out, all of those costumes were very cool! We missed me potato head though. The troll doll was bizarrely hilarious.
Then the lids. So. Much. Time.
While grandma Becky was here she had the most brilliant idea to just let luca have the lid of his drink because pushing the buttons down is the only thing he wants to do when they are around.
So when he got sick of the popcorn and watching the show I have him our lid. He spent the rest of the time with that! And all the way to the car. It was still in my bag today so I gave it to him during relief society which was a beautiful distraction then too!! It's crazy how such a small thing can do so much!
Mowgli and baloo came out, as well as lilo and stitch, and mulan!
They had a halloween song and Christmas songs! Then they made it snow!
Still the lid won his attention.
^^hes still holding it, all the way back to the car.
We went to get dinner after the show, and luca wasn't into sitting still again, so I gave him the lid from his cup there. They are magic I tell you.
We had a good day out and about!
Bedtime was not so awesome. Luca screamed and screamed and would not go to sleep at all unless I was holding him, and even then would only crash out for a few minutes before crying again. I ended up bringing him to my bed, where he threw a fit, but eventually ended up falling asleep, but only for a little again, then he rolled over and started to laugh like he was just faking.
I had to run to the store for some stuff for Sunday dinner so I brought him downstairs to the missionaries and Jose and left. He ended up falling asleep watching the short movie about the dog that is on the big hero 6 movie but not until about 10:30. Luckily he slept all night, but with daylight savings I knew he would be a monster if I had to wake him up before 8 (in his head) for church. So I let him sleep and we ended up missing sacrament meeting but making it for the rest of church.
Disney on ice is my favorite! I'm impressed Luca let you see the whole thing. He is looking so huge lately!!!
ReplyDeleteYahhh I'm thinking your brain is just OUT centered hahaha what DISNEY stuff haven't thry done? It's bound to be at Disney on Ice too. That made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteAlso genius cup lid. Oh my word.
That jerky part is hilarious! And look at his happy face with that monster bucket of popcorn on his lap! Oh he's a cutie!
ReplyDeleteBUT, Amanda, you need to remember that OUT took their characters from Disney, not the other way around. Haha.
