The one with a Play date

First. I need to document this experience of Halies.

Poor girl, I can only imagine what was going through her head! I'm so glad she knew what to do, and that the Hilliard Police were so nice to her.

I'm even more glad it was just Jessica and nothing more.

The other day Luca and I were playing up in my room, and he brought me a little compact mirror in his mouth. I took it and tossed it behind him, and he ran over, put it back in his mouth, came back to me and waited again for me to throw it again. So I did. Several times. He's like a dog.

I tried to take a picture but then he was done.

He's also been really into somersaulting since daddy helped him do it. He's getting pretty good! He still falls to the side mostly, but that's a step! Soon enough!

Luca and I were still sickly yesterday, and Joses back has been acting up again, so we all stayed home yesterday and just relaxed and rested.

Luca seems sooooo much better today--hopefully we just keep moving up. I feel a little better but still not 100%.

Since we haven't been feeling well the house is a wreck. And monday rolled around and Sara told me Emilie was coming over so we went to see them all instead of cleaning/instead of feeling worse by trying to do so much here/feeling worse because I didn't do anything. Hahaha. I'm complicated.

Once I decided to go I asked Luca if he wanted to go see Grant and Sara--this was his response.

"Yaaaaahhhh"

I tried to get him to nap on the way up, but he fought it and fought it. At least he's still a cutie. And calm for the rest of the day.

We went to see Brittany and the kiddos and everyone piled in the wagon so we could walk for once. Grant wasn't loving it at first, but he allowed it to happen.

The kids were all crazy and made a mess for Brittany to clean once we all left. But not before a kiddo picture!

Luca and Grant played so well once everything calmed down. Grant is so protective of Luca it's hard for him to have a good time when there are other kids around him. It's so sweet.

They had a little dance party after naps and we ran to the store.

And into the box Luca went. I'm pretty positive he tried to climb into a tiny silver bucket that Grant keeps his play tools in too. That was effective I'm sure.

I just love seeing them together. They will be buds for life.

As a side note. I've been drinking a gallon of water a day since the beginning of December, and just recently have noticed the little differences since then. Besides doing the obvious--soda isn't even appetizing or helpful for my thirst anymore, but I find myself staying fuller longer. I'm not snacking nearly as much. I find myself at the fridge more out of habit now, but not actually hungry!

It's been fabulous. I could do without the million bathroom trips a day but it's worth it. I'll have to pay attention to other changes.

  3. I wish I could have seen their dance party. And Luca cracks me up, trying to fit in that box.
