Luca and I went over to saras on Thursday because both boys had the same cold/cough going on. Yes we gave it to them first. But let me tell you, they had it coming getting us sick all the time.
Now I don't think it was such a good idea since I have now been lucky enough to pick it up. Yuck. Nansusiqosnndlsosgqy.
While we were there, of course the boys were precious players and danced together and loved each other, while Sara and I never got a break from the nose wiping.
Luca came over to grant and I sitting on a chair in the kitchen and decided he reallllllly needed to be up on it. So he grabbed a rung on the back and the side and pulled himself right up there!! What the heck!! Stop being so big!
Mealtime has been a battle lately. Luca just won't eat! And the spitting out. Oh the spitting.
He grabbed black beans from the pantry for a snack--he used to love them so I figured, why not? I grabbed an avocado, and he ate more than he has in one sitting in weeks! Score! (For now)
Missing tooth, courtesy of a black bean skin.
He snuggles this bear like no other during naps and bed. I love it.
We sold the gigantic chair that was taking up the entire playroom and so of course Luca decided to love it 10 minutes before it left our lives forever.
Jose took Friday off because I helped clean the temple that night--Luca seriously loves nothing more in life. Not one thing.
Cleaning the temple was such a neat experience! I made some new friends (yay!) and saw so much of the temple I never even thought to think would be in there! So much happens in there, so much more than the basics. They are so prepared, I was amazed. I will absolutely do it again!
And all the arm exercises I've been doing lately paid off big time--I basically vacuumed for 2 hours straight. If I hadn't done them, my arms would have fallen off.
Today I felt the cold smack me right in the face. Luca and I didn't even get dressed until after his nap, at 3. Yep.
Luca played by the garage door for a bit. Whatever floats your boat.
We basically spent the day watching tv and snacking. Sick days are awesome once in a while. At least when your toddler is so independent and will play and play and not cause problems.
Luca also spent the day doing one of his most treasured activities: getting into bins, boxes, baskets, bowls, anything that anything can go in. He squeezes himself right in and relaxes a bit.
Seriously. Anything.
And then he put the bowl on his head and walked into the banister. In my defense, I did warn him. Several times.
Sara and I were just discussing the lovely things toddlers do every day to make our lives oh so much easier.
One of the things Sara mentioned was when the pull down folded clean laundry all over. Luca hadn't done that yet. Until today.
And he's over there in the corner getting into something I'm sure he shouldn't be.
We had to run a few errands today--which I shouldn't have done, now I feel worse--but we needed things. EmergenC for one, but I didn't even get any, dang it!
We met grandma and aunt Ana at hobby lobby for a bit and Luca begged and begged to hold the stuffed animals he could see and loved. We left those $25 suckers there. I love that he doesn't get attached yet and can be distracted easily while I put them back.
This better pass me way fast. I can't live like this. My goodness.
I want my mommy.
And yes Sara. I know. There is plenty here for more than one post. Whatever. Shh.
I love the picture where Luca just has his knee in a bucket. Hes so funny! And so sorry you're sick. I wish I could take care of you, too.
ReplyDeleteWhat is this?! Your child needs to sleep with his stuffed animal?! Like a security blanket only not!? Now he won't be smarter than my child, what ever will we do?
