Man. I'm not very good at keeping up with this!! In my defense however, I'm really really trying to not be on my phone so much. Especially when Luca is awake. I need to give him my full attention!
I was stubborn last night and wouldn't give Luca a bottle, so we paid for that. Allll night long. He had to sleep with someone or he screamed. And I don't mean cried loudly. He screamed. It was fun. He was up until like 1am. He woke up around 8 and then fell asleep again around 9 and slept till 11. This was him in that last stretch.
Tonight. He got a dang bottle. Whatever.
I was getting ready still when he woke up finally and he found a sucker. I just wanted him to be happy so I could finish and we could go have some food that I let him have it. I put him in the walker which we haven't used in months except for the sounds and he pushes it around. He usually hates being in it. But of course he had sugar so he was content.
Yes. You read that right. Basically his breakfast was a sucker. Whatever.
We have been working on body parts lately--and that picture above was me asking--where is your ear?--so that's progress and success!! He got tongue down a bit today too. But only responds half the time sticking it out.
Before we headed down stairs we switched the laundry over and started a new load. Luca loves to help take things out of the dryer and put them in the basket. He's good for three or four things and then he just wants to throw them around the room.
Then. We were playing downstairs and I had to go to the bathroom. So I did. And I came back to this.
You can't see but he is on the tip tip top of his tippy toes. He
needed to reach that jar. Clearly.
He was very proud. So I let him have a small piece. Again. Yes. I know. Mother of the year. Sugar galore.
The kid inherited my sweet tooth. Poor guy.
We were waiting for Jose at the planetarium and we played in their newly discovered clearance section!
I know this is blurry. But he was sneezing and it would have been awesome if it wasn't blurry!!
Oh Harry Potter glasses. How could you not?
He's usually such a good sport about glasses. But he did not appreciate this chicken mouth one.
I couldn't blame him. I put them on after him. It was pretty bad.
Then. We were going to be awesome parents and let Luca play at kangaroo zoo!! It's a giant warehouse with like 10 huge bouncy houses in it. I used to take the kids I nannied all the time! They loved it. So I assumed that was mutual.
Wrong. Luca hated it. He may have just been tired but goodness. It was a fight. We paid their raised prices--again--and had to stay to at least sit on all of them.
Jose and I got hot and sweaty climbing these things and Luca honestly, could have cared less.
We are good oarents. My child is going to be traumatized for life on slides.
But then we finally got on one that he liked! So that made it worth the $5. And then. He hated it again. He liked it for about 5 minutes. But hey. That's something!
We probably won't be going back there anytime soon. Even though I think with other kids he would have liked it a whole lot more. But still.
Jose and I had fun at least.
