The one with a day with Friends.

This morning we had breakfast with Ana and Gaby. Luca just loves when they play with him. He was cracking up the whole way home.

Then Jose and I attempted to clean our awfully dirty garage. It's full of crap and I don't know what to do with half of it. It's ridiculous. It got filled when we moved and since then the pile has only grown. It drives me mad. Jose needs to be able to park in there when the snow comes so we really need to get it done.

We didn't get much done. One because we have a toodler, and two because there is too much we need to get rid of before we can fully attack it.

Luca was everywhere. Walking. Crawling. Eating rocks. Eating a cheerio from the corner of the garage. Whining. Climbing on me. In the stroller. EVERYWHERE. We finally came up with a solution. The weather was so nice today and there was a breeze so we rolled the car windows down and let him "drive" for a bit. Obviously the car was off. And everything he could get too was away. He just likes to stand there and turn the wheel the tiny bit he can. He was thrilled and entertained for the rest of the whole like 15 minutes we were doing stuff.

That is him shaking his head no when I asked him where he was going and to say bye to me.

Later in the day Luca and I had to in some errands but then we were going to go to the park, so I texted my neighbor, Ana and asked if she wanted to come with us.

While we were running errands at Smith's Luca's new thing is to wave to every single person passing. He just waved and waves until they wave back or he can't see them anymore. Even if he's waving to a back. He doesn't care. Only like four people waved back. It was sad. WAVE back to tiny children people!

She did! It was so fun. I can't believe we haven't done that before. She literally lives 10 steps from my garage!

Luca loved having someone else dote on him, once he got used to her he just went straight to her. She was letting him hold her hand to walk. I'm the horrible mother that tries to make him do it alone.

He also crawled around and picked up all the trash for everyone. He just finds it, picks it up and hands it to me and moves on. I wish I would have gotten a picture of it all. A sucker stick, wrappers, a capri sun pouch--so much. Our park doesn't get taken care of--except when Luca is there of course!

We played for about 45 minutes--which is a new daily routine after naps. Especially ones like today--he slept for over 2 hours!! I need him tired for bed so I plan to go out around 5 each night now. So far so good.

Ana was supposed to have company at 6--but she cancelled last minute because we was sick--so we decided to make a night of it! We got lucky!

After we played we went and grabbed cafe rio for dinner. She was the sweetest and paid for it all. We just chatted and laughed at Luca all night. He kept interrupting our conversations with weird noises just for some attention.

Luca got his free "niño" quesadilla and a side of black beans. He ate a ton.

Then we headed home and stayed at Ana's a bit and let her cats be scared of Luca.

After that we headed home and Luca went down to bed--beautifully I might add--and I got to relax/do the dishes and clean the kitchen before bed.

I'm so glad we made a friend and we will definitely make it a habit to see them more!
