The one with a draft from June

This post is one I had a draft of saved when my last app stopped working.  It is from June 10th.

Well I've gotten out of the blogging habit since my app had decided it never ever wants to work. Which isn't cool. We have sent feedback several times. We shall see what happens. I am not alone, seems like everyone's is getting to this point, unfortunately.

We have spent the last few days at home, so dad can rest and recover. We moved a mattress down to the living room, so that's where he will be living for the time being. It's been nice when people come to see him, I didn't have to crazy clean upstairs--which was Jose's original idea--because they would have had to go up. No thanks.

On Thursday morning Jose had part if his colon removed that was cancerous. They were able to remove 95% of it, and he's having 8 weeks of chemo to finish it off. The doctors are confident that it will work, and he has had several priesthood blessings promising great things.

I don't talk about it much--I don't like too, so I'm sorry to those that have felt out of the loop, but there you go. I'm not worried. The Lord will take care of us.

So we have been just hanging around the house for the last 4 days. Luca entertains us, and everyone that has come to visit. He's all over the place now, fully crawling and into and on everything he can reach.

We've had lots and lots of visits in the last few days--which helps my sanity since they occupy and help take care of Luca while I take a rest or get some stuff done without having to stop.

Jose's parents have been here the most, they've brought groceries, meals and entertainment. It's been a blessing for sure. They take Luca out to the park or just play with him here so I can rest.

Luca has perfected his "downward dog" pose as of late.

That's how he gets himself into rough sticky situations, and usually how he gets back out.

Part of life as a child, but more so as a boy--he had had his share of falls and bruises. The other day he fell onto a new toy we have and got the worst one yet, right on his cheek.

These pictures were taken just a few minutes after the fall. You can see the redness on his little cheek.

Let's admire his little legs too. They are always crossed. Always. It makes me smile.

Grandma Rosie and Aunt Ana took Luca to the park the other day. They got us a new umbrella stroller last week, so Grandpa Andres helped me put it together and I met them over there.

He looks so big in this small stroller! It's strange.

Can you see his sad little bruise there on his cheek? It was so dark at first, and made him look dirty. It's fading to yellow now, which is almost worse.

As I said earlier, he's fully mobile now. Which in turn means he gets stuck in new places, and we laugh and take pictures before rescuing him. The other day I was showering while he explored our room. For the most part he was hanging out just between his exersaucer and the hamper (brown thing on the left). He wanted to badly to get to the bathroom door while I was talking to him, but couldn't quite figure out how to get through. Clearly going around wasn't an option.
I had just gotten out when he climbed under there to get through. He got super mad and frustrated until I got him out.

This morning whole Luca roamed my room he wanted to get his toy ball just on the other side of the exersaucer. Again, of course the logical thing is to go right through it. He did it successfully this time! Not happily, but successfully still. Note, his downward dog going on.
