The one with a day at the zoo!

We chose the single best day ever to go to the zoo. It was pouring that morning and we had predicted rain all day long. But we didn't care! And it paid off! It was so nice outside, overcast with a breeze. The zoo was empty. Hardly anyone wanted to brave it incase it rained I'm sure--but we didn't get a drop on us while we were there!

Luca learned how to get himself a drink without help. My straw is broken now. But he was entertained! And it wasn't expensive. So we are good.

We saw all the animals, again my child just quietly observered. Grant on the other hand announced each animal he knew and the sounds they make. He's a smarty. He didn't get too close either, I think he's scared they will get him. It's hilarious to watch his little legs love so fast when he wants them too.

We rode the train and the carousel. Out of the two, the carousel was the obvious winner. Luca had the time of his life up there on his elephant and Grant cried when it was time to get off!

This picture explains the excitement.

It's Luca's newest thing to show this much excitement when he's happy about something. You'll see.

I love his squaty bum.

Excitement.

And again. It's my favorite when he does it to me.

Then we went to Cheesecake Factory for lunch. My child threw all his food on the floor and yelled the whole time. He really needed a nap. And of course they took forever bringing us our checks and to-go cheesecakes. We basically ran out of there when we saw her coming with them. Our children were done.

But that cheesecake was worth it. Sara got a dulce de leche and I got a new lemon meringue one. YUM.
