Well Luca has had a cough and cold for a few weeks now. He's been extra fussy and moody lately. His bottom gums are actually swollen now so hopefully some teeth will pop through those guys and end some of the misery.
He's been napping pretty well, so that's good. He needs sleep. He sleeps in the most random positions, and seemingly uncomfortable.
See his little feet crossed down there? I love that.

In the mornings now he usually eats half a bottle and then wants to play. And I am not awake enough for that yet. So I keep a bucket of toys at the end of my bed on the floor and he goes exploring while I finish waking up and watch him. This particular morning he scooted himself all around he bed for something and when he finally stopped I figured out why. The laptop of course! All the while with the bucket strapped around his arm. He dragged it along with him.

With his little cough he has a hard time falling alseep. Once he is asleep he has been staying down for a bit--but the battle belongs before that. I tried every single position this morning to get him tone comfortable and sleep--he started on his tummy and when I came back to check on him this is what I found. He napped for so long like this!

Whatever works.
Lately Luca has taken to messing around with the monitor. I've had it on a little plant stand next to his bed since he was born. It was the most convent plug. Until now.
It has a green light on it so it's tempting for him. He gets up to the very tip of the crib and sticks his hand out to play with it. He bangs it around so that's all it can hear on the other end of the monitor.
The first time he did this--Jose was out of town and it was like 4am. I swear it was like horror movie worry. I was laying in bed and he had started to cry so I was watching the monitor lights and waiting to see if he would fall back asleep or if I was going to have to get up. Then it just went fuzzy. Like it does when it's unplugged. So loud and creepy. Nobody else was home and I was freaking out that someone was in my child's room. So I got up and went to his room and found him completely smashed at the top of the crib with his tiny arm stretched out as far as it could go. He had knocked the table over which unplugged the monitor when it fell.
Now he does it when he is bored in his crib and doesn't want to sleep.

See it on the floor? Yep.

He got a pineapple chunk the other day and loved it. He chewed and chewed that thing. And yelled when I had to take it away because he was biting chunks off of it and gagging himself.

I went to the bathroom and left Luca happily on the floor with some toys. I heard him get frustrated while I was in there and came back to this.

He's fast.

And a tiny bipolar when he is sickly.
