The one with lots of pictures.

Let me just start by apologizing to all of you. This post is filled with a ton of basically the same pictures. Whatever.

I got a costco watermelon the other day. And YUM. yay for watermelon season again!

Luca and I went to get his hair fixed today. My friend did it, just around the corner. Tenley is her daughter, she's a month older than Luca, and they just sit and chat when they are together. Grunts, yells, laughs everything. It's adorable.

His hair looks SO much better now! Thank you blending. Candice will be doing it from now on. Or me. If I am feeling brave enough to try next time. I should. That way I don't have to pay for it his whole life. And any other boys I may bear.

We got his walker the other day and it has officially begun. He dug that towel out of the "dirty/used" bucket I leave downstairs. Fun stuff.

I was making pasta salad while he was exploring. He kept getting closer and closer without actually touching me. He just wanted to watch what I was doing.

And then I felt him bump right into me. This wo be my life now. He seemed so proud of himself for reaching me. He patted my legs for a bit.

He hasn't been so good with the pouches of purées, and I have my own bags but haven't wanted to go through all the trouble if he wouldn't eat them. So we bought a few so he could get used to them. He's gotten a lot better, and will just hold it himself and suck it out slowly. So I got all ours out and washed, we will try them soon!

He also had some of the watermelon today. That will have to be puréed for sure. It's too slippery for him to chew, and to soft for him to suck a big piece.

I haven't been purée-ing everything anymore. He does really well with small pieces! It's so weird. He's getting too big. The other day I was eating rice and he begged so I just gave him a spoonful and he chewed it right up.

We took a bath today with our new foam letters. Which were a huge hit.

Notice how any toys there are. There was a reason for that.

I'm well aware I am a mother of a boy. But as a woman that grew up with all sisters a lot of things are new and foreign to me. Like his discovering himself. Not at all in a sexual way, but discovering all the same. It is weird to me. And I have read it million times "boys will play with their penis" "boys will compare and talk about them early on" but nevertheless it's not something I'm used too.

Anyway I filled the tub up with every bath toy we had to see if it would make a difference in his choice of toy. It only worked for a short amount of time.

I know I need to let him, I know it's completely normal, and just a stage. I'm working on it. It's just still strange for me.

Again sorry for the overload. I need to keep them somewhere!

He had a rough rest of the day, woke up too early from a nap, and thankfully fell back asleep, after a bout of fussing. When he woke up again he was still cranky and just wanted to lay on my shoulder and chew on my thumb. So he did. I love when he's cuddly.

Then I found some cold toys and gave him those instead. He seemed to appreciate it.

We went out for a walk as well tonight for a new scenery, that helped him be happy too.
