The one with a day of Luca and I.

Today Luca and I ran some errands and hung out all day. Me like very other day of our lives. And I love it. I love having one on one time with him! He's my favorite.

He took a long morning nap today and woke up as I was in the middle of getting ready--I could have been done already but I procrastinated by talking to my sister and mother on the phone. It was worth it. I took Luca's jams off because he was hot and stuck him in the tub to play while I finished. It worked like a charm! He was all over in there! And I didn't even need to be paying full attention to him because, no water! It was lovely! He just played and played happily until I was done. This will happen more.

He started out sitting and decided he would lie on his belly. And one leg apparently.

We had to run some errands, and bring dad water at the restaurant. We stopped at chick fil a for lunch because it delicious. Luca eats like a champ now. He just downed all the strawberries and oranges in this fruit cup. And some blueberries. But they had so many seeds, so I limited them. He loved them though!

Then later he and I checked out our garbage disposal switch. One day a while ago it just stopped working on it's own. I have to hold the switch up for it to turn on.

So we examined it and talked to Grandpa Danny on the phone for tips on fixing it.

Luca started in his walker but abandoned it when he couldn't get close enough to touch me. He did well on my lap, once I have him a toy--it's brand new out of the package and clean!

Helpful child I have.

I shall teach him to be a handy man just like my dad taught/still teaches me! It's a beautiful thing to know how to fix things and actually do it. Gives you a sense of pride. I will instill that in Luca. Hopefully.

If not--I'll send him to Grandpas for some lessons.

Then we had to grab a watermelon at costco with dad--look how green again!! Just ignore that smoke. We did. I still have no idea what was happening over there. Probably just a refinery.
