The one with a few days of sickys.

Blah. Luca got a cold this weekend and then passed it along to me. Dang sickness.

We took a late walk on Sunday to keep him happy, in jams because I was too lazy to change him.

He sits so well on his own now, it's crazy! I've been noticing these past few days when I feel like doing nothing else but lay on the couch and watch him. He's a good sport.

One of his current favorite things is standing along the couch. He does it super well for quite a while. When he falls he reaches up and attempts to pull himself back up, hasn't happened yet, but he's determined!

He moves along it a little too, if there is a remote in his sight, you can be sure that will make his way to it no matter what it takes. What is it about remotes? I try to keep them hidden--they are not toys for him, we have a hard enough time keeping track of them ourselves--but I usually don't succeed. Jose and I are always amazed at the things he does to get to them. Last night he basically dove head first off the couch, Jose was still holding him, luckily, but he stayed there dangling and stretching to the floor to get, what do you know, the xbox remote. I should have taken a picture. Next time.

See the spit up on the couch? Hooray. It's everywhere.

He has been doing even stranger stuff in his crib lately. He rolls to the side and tries to pull himself up on the bars, it's so funny to watch.

And then he got all mad the other night and got his legs stuck in the bars. That was fun.

I haven't had as much spit up all over my floor, couch, and rug in such a long time. It's getting old, I don't have the energy to clean it. I just want the sickness to go away! It's the worst when your babe has a sickness that you really can't do anything about. Too little for meds, only little things to try. Go away!!

He's been a pretty good sport about it all though.

I don't have any pictures of it yet, but he has mastered picking up his puffs himself and getting his entire fist in his mouth in attempt to eat it. Nothing has made it into his mouth that I am aware of, but he is close!

Jose took the monitor out of the room last night and kept it with him and took care of Luca so I could actually take some medicine and sleep. That was so beautiful. I felt so much better for a while this morning.

Bread anyone?

We seriously have more bread than we could eat in 3 months. Jose got samples from Sysco to try and choose for the restaurant. When they say "samples" they mean enough to feed a family of 8. Which is beautiful, but what are we supposed to do with all that? We will have to give the rest of it away after we try it. Anyone need bread??
