I told Luca today that he was the oldest he ever has been. And then, I realized that's true for everyone everyday of their lives. But whatever.
I seriously can't believe it's been four whole months. He makes me so happy it seems like just yesterday I was at the hospital.
We have been blessed with a very happy, and incredibly chatty babe. Which I love. He really only cries if he's hungry or overly tired. He just smiles all the time and talks to everyone, and all his visitors.
Here are some stats and favorite things:
-He knows his name, and responds to it.
-He knows mom and dad well, can recognize them, and will watch us from across the room do whatever and go wherever we go.
-He is back to sleeping 10+ hours at night, and on top of that puts himself to sleep, occasionally with a minute of crying, but usually silently.
-He is obsessed with his fingers, and everyone else's actually, and constantly had someone's in his mouth.
-He recognizes the sign for milk, and responds excitedly when I ask him if he wants some. He halfway knows some others, more, all done and please.
-We just started solid foods and he is loving it. So far bananas and avocado have been favorites. Peas are a no go right now.
-He is so happy to play around laying down, but would much rather be sitting. He loves to hang out and watch mom in his high chair.
-He still loves his ball toys, but he's stronger now and plays with all of them, and all of them he attemps to fit in his mouth.
-He likes tummy time way more, and does it very well now.
-He tries so hard to sit up, it's his goal. I can feel it. No matter how tired he is, if I lay him against me he sits himself up as much as he can. We practice daily, and he can go 5-8 seconds before he tips over. He's getting there.
-He is starting to hold his bottle up (hurray!) as long as it's 6oz or less so it isn't too heavy for him. He also tries super hard to get it back in his mouth if it falls out.
-He still loves the bath and could stay in there for hours. And the changing table is still his special place.
-We read everyday, and he loves when I look at him when I read, he thinks it's hilarious.
-He is finally (almost completely) out of newborn clothes and into 3 month ones. And he is just about out of size 1 diapers.
-He loves to stand. If he's not sitting, he wants to stand and bounce.
-He loves to cuddle up with his blankets when he sleeps, he likes it right under hischeek in the carseat.
-I squeeze him daily in a bear hug, and he thinks it's awesome. I like to tell myself it's his favorite part of the day.
-He loves loves apples. I give him slices and he just chomps and chomps on them.
-he rolls over on the changing pad completely, and halfway over on the floor. He is so close!
-He is in love with his owl mirror in the car. Sometimes when he's sleeping he wakes up just to look at it and smile or laugh and then closed his eyes right back up.
-He's pretty much put himself on a schedule. It was beautiful that I didn't have to do it.
-He still spits up like nobodies business. I'm suuuper hoping we have peaked and it's time to die now.
-He still is enthralled with the tv, or any screens really, and especially will pay attention to music if it's playing.
-He kicks up a storm always, which is basically a form if transportation for him. I have no idea how he does some of the things he does. He is so close, and determined to scoot it's hilarious.
-He's starting to giggle, but still gets confused if he should do that, or cry. It's my favorite though.
