We went to see Inside Out, last week--such a good movie!! The most creative storyline I have seen in a long time! Luca loved it too, I don't know if its a good thing really or not--but he sat for almost the whole movie--he was up and going down the stairs for only like 15 min. I was impressed.
We had a ward party that night--300 people were expected, and we had the drink station. So we got all ready and prepared for that for the rest of the day. I have never been more grateful for my food processor!! That thing is a beaut.
I was done with everything in less than 2 hours! I thought it would take me hours and hours!
It was so delicious and a brilliant idea I had of this lemonade bar, but only about 30 people of the 300 came--so we had lots and lots and lots of extras--which I ended up giving away--we never would have used it, and I felt horrible tossing it.
We had pureed strawberries, rasberries, pinepple, watermelon and mango juice to mix in. Seriously--they were SO good. I am not a lemonade person, so that should tell you. I drank so many while we were prepping.
It was so dang hot, I couldn't believe I lasted outside the whole time, Luca could have cared less about the heat, his poor cheeks were the same color as his shirt--even though you can't tell. I had him down glass after glass of water.
We borrowed our neighbors corn hole board which was a hit all around. Luca enjoyed those things.
After that was done we rewarded ourselves with a trip to the pool, or in Lucas words "poo."
He is seriously a fish. The kid just loves loves loves the water. He floats around in his little floatie thing, and gets mad when we tried to help him. He has no fear, he just jumped right in over and over again.
This is Lucas newest thing to do. He sits up here on the window sill and waits for Jose to get home, while saying, "dada dada dada dada dada dada" constantly for a half hour straight. He loves his daddy.
We went to the pool 5 days in a row--almost--we didn't go sunday--but every other day--and one day twice. The first thing Luca asks in the morning is if we can go to the pool. I'm glad he's loving it so much--its basically the only thing I can do outside in this 105 degree weather we have been having.
No fears. I'm telling you.
Look at that!! A video of the poo
