The one with a new cousin and a trip to Park City.

How do children sleep in all these weird positions?? How is it comfortable? Weirdos. I would wake right up, but it was 9AM when I took that, so who knows!

He still loves to wave to daddy when he goes to work, and he can't move from the window until he is out of sight completely, including when your face is smashed against the screen as far out as you can go.

I tried to sit his bear next to him on the other stool, but he got all mad and just continued to hold him by his head.

For real, he loves that girl.

The girls and I got some giant coloring pictures while we grocery shopped, and spent several hours coloring while listening to Twilight on the TV--Nicoles choice--she colored Jasmine, and Kate did Ariel, and I finally finished my library behind belle the other day, so she wasn't done.

I can't tell you enough--the bond between them is the sweetest.  He just loves her to death!!

Even Luca enjoyed coloring--he got the creepy giant eyed merida, because he doesn't care.

We went to Park City with everyone on thursday, while daddy worked.  I didn't think we would last all day because of nap time, and the heat, but Luca did well, and there was a breeze the whole time so I survived too!

Luca spent most of his time with grandpa, and he walked around with him, and even stood out in the blazing sun letting him play on the playground, while we ladies shopped.

This is probably Kates favorite game, if she kisses someone first, Luca will do the same--she has been helpful when Luca is a bum and doesn't want to love people.

My least favorite part of this trip had to have been my panic moment when Nicole pulled a bottle of hand sanitizer out of Lucas mouth, and told him not to drink any more.  I looked at the back, in full panic mode, and read "keep away from children, if swallowed contact poison control immediately" OF COURSE.  So I just stood there, not knowing what to do, the bottle looked like quite a bit had been taken out.
As I was trying to decide what to do, my mother in law (trying to calm me, but failing) said, "oh, he will be fine, kids in guatemala drink that all the time and are fine!" Ha, right, and my father in law behind me quietly goes, "well, thats not true..." it was all overwhelming, and now hilarious a little.  I got myself together and got down on Lucas level, and asked him if he drank it, he said no, super reliable, I know.  But I stuck my fingers in his mouth, and sniffed and ton, and nothing, so I knew he hadn't actually swallowed any, he was just sucking on the bottle, and they were all filled to that level, and pretty hard to squeeze, impossible for him.

I need like 2973492384756234 more eyes, and about that much more energy to watch him every second of the day.

Luca touched a basketball in the Nike store, so of course, "oh, I'll buy that!! He needs it!" Grandma says, so from then on I was careful what he picked up--they got around that of course, but that is what they are for, right?

He ended up sleeping are minutes on our way to Park city main street for dinner, and then woke up only wanting Grandpa and Kate, but that is nothing new.

This is the face, hand, and look I get more than any other any day of the week, along with a "MINE!!"

Mackenzie and Tony welcomed little baby Lyla that night too! It was so weird to be so far away, and love her so much! We are so excited to have a baby girl cousin--Luca likes to call her "wywa" and it is as cute as can be.

She is just a beauty!! Congrats Tony and Kenz!! Parenthood suits you well.

  2. Love so much about this post! I laughed so hard about Rosi trying to calm you by telling you that Guatemalan children always drink hand sanitizer! And then Andres telling you the truth quietly. I am still laughing. They're so funny! I'm glad he didn't really drink any. I saved a lot of cute pics from this post, too. I love that Jose's family is right there to love in him so much.
