Jose took his mom to the urgent care on Thursday morning, and took luca with them. He had a good time showing off all his skills.
We were headed to Saras, but they napped early so we went to the bountidul temple after we had pizza at the pizza pie cafe.
Luca threw rocks all over and had to learn that that wasn't nice in heavenly fathers yard.
One day he will understand that.
We got to Saras after that and got all ready for the Easter egg hunt. Sara and I hid them all around and got these boys to stand still for such good pictures! I can't decide which is best. So you have to endure them all.
They are my favorites.
Luca got the hang of all of the egg hunting real quick--at first he just cared about going down the slide.
They had a blast. I'm so glad we did this for them!
When we came back in to examine our goodies luca needed to "crack" his open each time. He loves cooking with daddy.
He threw many fits that day. Sugar doesn't help those. He wants whole things and we usually bite them first so they are smaller. Dang independence.
Then we all dyed eggs! Luca just wanted to squish his fingers in them.
But then we pulled out the stickers and he kept on a decorating!
Sara had plans to make a crafty paper chick with grant, so we attempted to get luca to do it too. He usually loves craft time.
Not so much that time though. I basically made the chick myself. Oh well.
He did the stickers himself, and scribbled on her when she was done.
Mackenzie was so awesome and re-hid the eggs again when the boys got restless. She's going to be such a good mommy. Grant really just wanted to open them all again, and Luca just filled his bucket with dirt. Successful day again!! We love having family visit and being busy!
The men went to see new furious movie together and thoroughly enjoyed it. Kenz and I headed home around 8:30 and when we got close to home we saw all the exits blocked off heading south bound by cops and highway patrol.
Then we saw like 20 motorcycle highway patrols in uniform rows come with their lights on.
We were discussing what would be happening when I remembered President Obama was in town!
After that we saw the biggest clump of cops, highway patrols, ambulances, fire trucks and other lighted cars and all had their lights on. We didn't get any pictures and I'm sad, but President Obama was in that last group heading to Salt Lake to meet with President Eyring, Uchdorf, Perry, and Christofferson.
It was very cool! I so wish we had gotten pictures!! When we saw the emergency vehicles I didn't want to take pictures if it was really an emergency.
I even asked on my neighborhood site if anyone had any pictures. They came right by our house--we could have seen it from our front yard if we were home!
That's so awesome pres Obama met with church leaders!
