With Lucas hard nights lately he really wanted to sleep with his fish that his aunt Nicole got him. He chewed on his eyes and cuddled right up to him all night. In the morning he insisted on bringing him down for breakfast. He just loves that guy.
We had the floor guys come to fix a few areas and then escaped the mess to meet Sara and her boys at the dinosaur museum at thanksgiving point.
While we were waiting to leave we built some towers. It's Lucas favorite thing.
We got there and luca come up front and play a bit while we waited for them to get there. Luca hung out the window like a dog and turned on every thing he could reach.
The boys exploded when we got in there and just bolted around.
Until there were buttons to push. Then there were pauses.
At one point near the beginning we went through a dark star tunnel, and then came back out near a glass display case. It was floor to ceiling glass, and super clean, I'm sure--I'll at least give luca the benefit of the doubt here. There was a snake down on the bottom, and someone pointed it out and luca went straight for it. Right smack into the glass. He hit so hard, fell right over and was crying--it took me a second to gather myself and stop laughing. He wasn't hurt, just scared and it was the most hilarious part of the day.
I'm sad I didn't take a picture of the case. Next time.
Luca climbed under all the barriers and tried to be part of all the displays that weren't incased in glass.
We let the boys play in the dry sand for a bit, until the throwing began. Then we headed out.
On my way home I finally stopped to get an ice cream cone from McDonald's. Because. Yum.
I've been wanting one forever but I always talk myself out of it. So I finally stopped, and it was delicious. And so worth it.
Luca has started to screach instead of whine--I haven't decided which is better yet--and he was doing it the whole way home. I gave him a million things just to have them thrown on the floor over and over.
I couldn't figure it out until I saw his eyes peeled and following my ice cream. Then he screeched again. So I leveled it off and handed it to him. Praying I wouldn't have to spend hours cleaning his seat.
He devoured it! I was only a little sad because the cone is the best part, but he was happy and quiet for the rest of the way home. So it was worth it!
And he only had it on his chin!! There wasn't ice cream anywhere else which was basically a miracle.
My days of sneaking food are over. I'll just get him his own next time!
This was the first ice cream cone I've given him to feed himself--mainly because the thought of the mess scared me away from it. He loved it and did so well with it.
