Dad asked for lots and lots of pictures. So we sent weird ones and blah ones and good ones too. This was a blah good morning one.
Our first day was beautiful--nap time was not. Luca screamed and screamed--all those new places threw him off--and he didn't even sleep in or care about the time change. So that was fun to be up at 6am in my head.
Anyway. Nap time wasn't a picnic even though he was so exhausted. He cried and cried, and so I went back in, and he had thrown his bear out of his pack n play and was dangling over the edge reaching for it. He was inconsolable until I realized that was all he wanted, I handed it to him, and bam. Out.
One lovely thing ohio did do for Luca is extend his naps!! For months he's only been napping once a day, and only for about an hour and half. Which isn't awesome for me. But while we were gone he started sleeping for 2+ hours! Usually at least 2 1/2! That WAS beautiful. It's continued since we have been home! Which is my favorite.
I didn't bring diapers with us so our bag could fit more things, so we went to get some at target. They had awesome christmas ones!! Yes I did.
Kenz brought tribbi down with her, Luca LOVED him!!! But that's too bad, we won't ever have a dog again. Nope.
But it was sweet to watch him love on him. And tribbi was a good sport.
Grandma and Luca were besties the whole time. I so wish we lived closer!!
Our random goodnight picture for dad.
Grandma put Luca on the kitchen table. In my defense--I did warn her this would happen.
And that wasn't even all of the things that got bites taken out of them. Just the ones still around when I decided to document it. He didn't appreciate the pepper.
After our first day Luca slept peacefully. But not so comfortably.
Grandpa got home and Luca took just a tiny bit of time to go to him. I was surprised how fast it was--and then I remembered that he's basically the baby whisperer. No more surprises. He loved loved being with him.
My dad found this picture of himself when he was 3 years old. LOOK AT THAT!!! Luca is like his twin. I can't believe it! There are so many things. I wish he could find a 1 year old picture so we could compare even more.
Stop that. Anyone who has seen my child can see every resemblance there. It's crazy!!
