We went to hang out with Sara and Grant for Halloween day and trick or treating. Jose has been a workaholic lately, and we rarely see him now, we were sad he couldn't come with us.
Before we headed down to Sara's we stopped for an early trick or treat at Grandma and Grandpa's.
I just love my lobster's tail.
They of course had candy, and gave him his first little bit.
Then we headed out to sara's, at naptime, so again the whining ensued. He chewed his antenna and chatted with me.
He eventually crashed and napped most of the way, he really needed a nap since we would be up late today--so it worked out well!!
This is what I had Luca spit out at one point that day--Grant is such a good sharer. I thought there may be two in there, but there weren't! He has a huge mouth. He was just playing forever with those in his mouth, gagging every once in a while, but not caring!
Then we put Grant's last year costume on Luca--because it is totally his size and laughed. And Grant needed to be included so he got to wear Luca's lobster head!
By the way, when we got there Grant was wearing that elephant costume, and hadn't taken it off all day until right then when we were about to go.
We ran some errands, Sara got Luca his birthday present--I had a hard time deciding on what :)--a new booster seat!! I am so over cleaning the high chair, and I am beyond thrilled not to have too anymore!! I hope he takes well too it, I'm sure he will love his new freedom, and sitting with us at the table.
Then we headed to Matt's work. They do trick or treating in the building for family and friends.
On the way Luca somehow got the lid off his sippy cup and dumped all the water--which I refilled before we left--so it was completely full--all over his lap. That was wonderful of him. I didn't bring extra clothes with us.
Luckily for us Grant wasn't wearing pants with his costume so we borrowed his. They were a little too big, but worked!!
We got the boys dressed in the bathroom, and then headed out to find Matt and all the candy!
The boys loved it, and Luca had the hang of picking candy quickly.
Then we headed back to Sara's and got ready for neighborhood trick or treating!! We used the wagon, because my lobster can't walk that far without being distracted.
We went around the block, and then headed home. It was plenty for Luca and I, and Matt was home then, so Sara, Grant and Matt headed out again a little later.
I can't believe Luca was this small last year--and next year there will be another tiny babe cousin to play with!! Time sure flies.
Hope you all had a happy safe halloween!!
