Luca and I ran a million errands yesterday. I knew he would be such a happy child in his car seat forever so I brought his stuffed panda bear for a distraction. It was a major hit--so it may live in the car now. He was so helpful.
I found a teacher supply store in slc and stopped for a few more learning posters. We even found some spanish ones!
I finally got a picture of his squirrel habits in the car. I always have snacks in case of dramatic emergencies. He will almost always take them from me--but as I learned quickly he doesn't eat them all. When he's done eating, but still taking them, he stashes them in front of his buckle between his legs.
Then later, when he gets hungry again he digs and finds them and eats them.

We got a happy first birthday balloon at smiths--Luca had a blast with it on the way home.
This happens several times a day--when Luca wants a snack he sits in front of the pantry door until I open it. Then he goes in, finds what he wants and brings it to me, and whines until I open whatever it is for him.
Crackers. Everything. His snacks are on the lowest shelf so he can pick. It's so funny to see his choices. He's so good at walking now he just strolles around.
After Luca went to bed I started to put his present together. Who knew you actually had to drill into a little tykes car?? It was crazy. But very straightforward so it wasn't bad. Just time consuming. But I finally succeeded.
Then I blew up like 60 balloons and out streamers up on Luca's door. And then I waited.
I reminisced about a year ago. I can't believe it.
It goes too fast.
