Sunday Conference for us starts with Music and the Spoken Word and getting the food ready for the day. Luca once again was lost in the music. We put his bear by him so he could lay with him. He watched for a while, letting us cook and chop before the missionaries came!

Conference food is my favorite. I look forward to that stuff for months. I am aware I could make it whenever I want, but it's not as fun that way. We had the missionaries over for the sessions so we made a lot for them. We invited our neighbors too, who are inactive, but they were out of town. 7 layer dip, chicken wings, pineapple wrapped in bacon, chips, guacamole, lil smokies, and veggies. I have no idea why I put out so many veggies. It was me and three men. I was basically the only one that ate any.

Once the missionaries got there we were hurrying and hurrying to finish getting things done before it started. Luca got fussy, so Elder Rice entertained him with his bear. It was distracting enough. He loves the missionaries, as they are over like 4 times a week, it makes sense. They play with him, and try to help him walk.

I just love that smile with those teeth.

I have a vase full of skeleton pieces out for decoration, and Elder Boyles takes them out and puts them back together however he can. I cut a few of the pieces so its impossible to do it all the way. But I always think of when I built a model of the skeletal system for elementary, and--I think it was my dad--but maybe mom?--were up sooo late building this thing with so many tiny pieces. The smell of super glue takes me back to that night too.

We went out to the front yard between sessions to play around. It would have been beautiful, but there are millions of bugs! Blah.

Luca didn't care one bit. He crawled around in it all, loving it, and of course keeping his mouth wide open to catch those lovely things. Such a boy.

Can you see all those tiny white dots?? BUGS. There were a million more that you can't see. Seriously, everywhere.

Luca loves the bones too, he loves to put them in new places. The train in particular.

I love Conference Weekend! It is so uplifting. There were so many wonderful talks! I can't wait to get the ensign copy and re-read them. They spoke on temples, service to those in need, and self responsibility. Of course there was much much more, but those are the ones that stuck out to me the most.
It makes me want to make my life better, live exactly the way I want too, and should. Conference always makes me want to be better, which in turn usually does make me a little better. It's a beautiful thing.
