The one with a day with Sara and Grant.

Luca and I headed up to Sara's for the day today! Luca had a hair cut appointment--which turns out I wish I hadn't scheduled that. Oh well.

We had a fabulous day of cousin lovin and playing. We took a walk in the beauteous weather and played at the park.

Luca did not do good during this haircut. Which is probably a huge part of why I wish I hasn't done it at all. Good thing I have a good friend around here that can fix it!

He just wanted to see what was making all the noises so he kept turning to look.

We had to hold him down and still.
I tried to pull up arthur on my phone because that would have distracted him but I didn't have enough service!

So instead I had Sara find a remote. It worked a little. Not as well as I hoped though!

When we got back we had some lunch--and of course Grant was all adorable giving Luca kisses and playing with him.

And then Sara held Luca for a bit and Grant got all jealous and climbed right in. At one point he pushed Luca away trying to get him off Sara's lap.

Then we all headed to the park for some good outsideness! I swung myself while Luca hung out in the swings--I haven't done that in so long! I want a swing.

Grant was all dare devilish today and tried all kinds of new things! He made it all the way up this rope web a few times!

Luca explored, and attempted to eat the mulch. We ended the siting on the ground after that.

Sara and I had been discussing how sad it was when the older kids graffitied on our school playground when we were younger. They drew dirty pictures in the slides and wrote rude and crude things all over. And then I noticed the "graffiti" here in Utah. It looks like this::

That's right. The salt lake temple. On stickers. Oh the differences!!

It made me smile. And grateful to live where I do.

We discovered this new seat/toy today. It's FABULOUS! All you do is sit. You don't have to push yourself or anything. But you spin and spin and get faster and faster. Apparently it's a spinner that never stops as long as there is weight on it. It's slightly tilted so that's what keeps it moving. We all tried it out and it was so fun! Grant and I did it together a few times which was hilarious until he ran right into the thing out of dizziness and cut his lip open. That was our cue to go back and let the boys nap. They were out so fast when we got back.

Luca's, as usual didn't last long.

After Grant woke up the boys played more as Sara made dinner. Grant found Luca's snacks and ended up dumping them out after eating all the ones he actually liked. Luca tried his darnedest to get to them. And this time he did succeed!

He had handfuls of those rice crispies in his mouth at some points. He was in heaven over there.

He's super good at not gagging himself or choking on foods. Which is a beautiful trait for a child.
