The one with Grant's birthday party!

This morning out ward had an Easter breakfast, our bishopric did Dutch oven food and it was gooood.

Then we headed to Sara's. She held off on Grant's party until I got back--she loves me--but actually they have had a million birthdays so far this month and this was the best day for it. But I will tell myself it was for me.

We spent the morning prepping our brains out and decorating while the men lounged around watching the playoffs-- and they did blow up the balloons on the ground for us.

Then we gave the boys a bath. Luca needed one bad, having spit up all over himself last night, and Grant heard the word "bath" so he needed in too of course.

It was adorable and they were playing so well together until Grant decided to whack Luca. He's teaching him about having siblings one day probably. And no. That's not an announcement. I promise.

Luca's hair has finally grown back enough to do a tiny fohawk again! Yay! It took way long after his bath and I had to use hair spray. But you gotta do what you gotta do.

Then both the kiddos napped while we finished chopping and setting up.

Lately I always find Luca in the weirdest most uncomfortable positions in the middle of the night or after his naps. This was today's. I'm pretty sure he only woke up because his head was hitting the side. He wasn't ready to be up yet.

Then people came! We had sharing issues, lots of tears, a few time outs, hitting and lots and lots of laughing and playing. Over all the kids did great. It's so hard when it's not your birthday, and there are so many fun things to eat and lots of kids to play and fight with. It's a tad overwhelming I'm sure.

Grant had a blast opening his presents. Totally showed all over his face. He was fascinated by them all!

And then it was cake time! Sara got all prepared. Grant was stripped down to his diaper and ready to make a mess with his smash cake. Only. He wanted a spoon. And to be all proper and stuff. Sara had to shove his face into that cake a few times. She's taught him well.

It was lots and lots of fun catching up with everyone that came.

This car was a present from Pat and Hamani and it probably was the cause of 90% of the fighting between the kiddos. You can see Grant's face in there. Not thrilled.

He seemed to have lots of fun! I can't believe he is two!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANT!
