The one with the flight.

Today was the day!! Luca and I were ohio bound! Yay! We miss daddy but it going to a fabulous trip full of Luca love from everyone!

6am dawned and I was up getting last minute things ready and my child--apparently his brain knew we were leaving--woke right up.

We got to the airport and stayed with dad a bit, it wasn't busy at all--I had a half hour left to get through the line of 10 people at security and get to my gate. Easy right? Wrong. Holy.  Babies make life take forever.

That was the longest security thing I've ever been through. Especially because I has a stroller and car seat, and a bottle. My land. Who puts bombs in water? That's messed up. Good grief. We finally made it through security and then our flight wasn't even listed on the board so I didn't know where to go! I just went down to the southwest terminal. At this point I only had 10 minutes before my flight took off. So I was rushing.

I heard my flight called over the intercom thing and it said it was boarding so I was rushing. As I got into the area I hear "are you Amanda" embarrassing. Yes. Yes I am. "Oh good. You're the last to board" except I still had to stand there and get the stroller ticketed for curbside and sign stuff. Good grief.

Luckily there was a front row seat left for us right between two very sweet grandmas. That was so nice. They were so kind and chatted and played with Luca the whole flight.

Luca did sooooo well. I was worried but goodness in didn't need to be. He fell asleep within the first ten minutes and slept for an hour and woke happily to play for the rest of the time. The flight attendants took turns coming over and chatting with him too. It's lucky he's so adorable so I'm not hated for holding the plane up.

We had a layover in Chicago and then headed on to ohio. The second flight wasn't as awesome but it was still so good. He fussed a little and then fell asleep during the most turbulence I've ever felt on a plane--super comforting--as we were landing.

He also managed to spill the entire Tupperware of puffs and fruit drops all over the man by us. That was fun. The guy was also so nice and sweet so he didn't mind.

We landed in ohio to grandma Becky who of course entertained my babe while I tried to find my luggage.

He has of course spit up on anyone to touch him so far, and the couch and the bed. We have only been here a few hours but oh my land. I miss it and am loving it. WHY can't we just petition the government to move Utah over next to ohio?? I don't understand.

We face-timed depressed all alone--I finally finally got rid of those dang dogs--daddy tonight too. I was getting jams on Luca as we talked. Which of course were changed twice because of spit up.

Luca had no desire to sleep tonight. I tried a million times with no luck. Whatever. I gave up at 11:30 ohio time, so 9:30 in his head and laid him in the pack and play. He fell asleep after about 15 minutes of this.

My child isn't really a baldy like it looks. I swear. It's just the lighting and editing.

Now I shall sleep and pray my child sleeps long enough for me to be caught up from getting up so dang early.
