I was surprised at how un-overwhelmed I felt--most of the time anyway. There were a few moments that I wanted to be done, but if I had been in my own house I don't think it would have been bad. It was just hard not to be able to put Luca in his bouncer, or down to play on his mat because they don't have any baby stuff. So I carried him around or he laid on the floor, which he usually didn't appreciate. And maybe he laid on the counter a bit too--only when I was standing right there--but I just needed two hands. Promise.
The kids loved Luca, and just fawned over him all day. They wanted to make him laugh so they'd play with him, sing to him, and make silly faces. It was very sweet.
I loved loved her bedspread. One day I will have a super nice one.
Maybe he flopped right off the blanket after I took this picture, but that's because I was only pulling with one hand--I used two most of the time.
We all went to the dollar store for some treasures, blew bubbles, did some st Patricks day crafts, played with play dough, and watched a movie together. It was a long day, but it went much smoother than anticipated, so that's good!
