The one with the long day.

Well. It's my lady time of the month, so just remember that, it seriously made all of this like twenty times worse.

This is how the day started out:

It only started with one egg breaking, and then I grabbed the carton for another and bumped the door and totally killed the entire carton. Only 10 survived at all, and only 5 without a crack. That was the first time I was glad we had been lazy and not brought the empty carton we finished the day before to the recycling bin yet so I could use it again.

Egg is not fun to clean up. And I didn't want to do it, but I did. I was worried about Luca but he just laid and talked to himself the whole time. That was helpful of him.

Later I went out to my garage only to discover that my deep freezer was unplugged. I couldn't figure out why forever, but everything in it is completely thawed, and now trash so it's been a while. Then it finally dawned on me. On Monday we had a company come and seal our air ducts, it was supposed to take 30 minutes. It took four hours. Four dang hours where I couldn't do anything, our plans for the day were ruined, I couldn't get to my child's room because of their equipment, I had to keep my garage door open (into my house and outside--so freezing), I had a bunch of random guys all over, and a mess to clean once they left. They put a fan in my garage doorway so they could blow everything right out and it wouldn't stink up my house, but they had to plug it in somewhere. And oh hey. They never plugged my freezer back in. It's been 6 days. I'm super ticked. And calling the company on Monday.

Then later I tried to return something to babies r us, and got completely lost. Which never happens, I've been there a million times and know where it is, but by the time I figured out where I was I was way to far back past it, it wasn't even worth it to go back. My child was not pleased. I still have the thing in my car.

There were quite a few other things that happened that were frustrating but now I can't think of more, of course. However, I will add, even though it wasn't on the original list, the fact that my child hasn't slept through the night for a week because he was sick one night and needed diaper changes, and it's driving me nuts. Hence while I am blogging at 4am. I don't know how people do it, I need my sleep!! He better knock this off or I won't be able to function soon.

The way I think usually depends on the social media I am using at the time, I know it's pathetic. I hardly ever post on Facebook, but when I did I would think in statuses, and for a while before I started blogging (one of the main reasons I did at all) I was thinking in hashtag mode. Now, thankfully it is what I am going to write on my blog! I'd say that was progress. At least this is a type of journal, and worthwhile unlike the other things.

For the past few days I have been battling the "to read, or to blog" battle, and reading has come out as the favorite for the most part, and for once (in a very long time) it's not even harry potter--although I do read that to my child everyday. I'm almost done with the first divergent book and I have the next one ready and waiting! (And kenz--Jose is waiting for me to be done with the first one so he can read it! Way to spread the joy.)

  1. HURRAY! And good for Jose! Tony has a few other books he wants to read first before he'll be getting around to Divergent.
Also. So sad for your day:( I'd be mad even if it wasn't my period time. We understand.
