The one when we had to leave.

Luca and I just hung out today. I got a bunch of cleaning done, and was going to actually paint my tables but then he woke up.

I have never been a big fan of costco diapers, unfortunately because they seriously are such a good deal, but today I boycotted them. Luca has had a blowout every day this week at least once and it's driving me mad. We have only been using pampers at night because they are more expensive, but they are ao much better that I am giving up on costco and just using them. Thankfully amazon moms is helping me still pay Costco price per diaper basically! At least for the free three month trial, no way am I paying $80 a year for that.

Luca sat and played in the bumbo today for a long while. I love that he is starting to entertain himself! He plays with all of his toys now, and it's just interesting to me to watch him struggle and try so hard to succeed in getting something specific in his mouth. He's so determined.

We tried carrots today, that was a no go too. I think it may be the texture. I've been noticing that that is the common threat between the foods he won't eat quite yet. Oatmeal is on there too. He prefers smooth smooth food apparently.

We went to get Chinese tonight, and had our first (of many I am sure) middle of the meal leave. Luca was thrilled and mesmerized by the fire for the first ten or so minutes. And then. He hated his life. He was tired and hungry (although he wouldn't eat) and just cried and cried. We ended up just getting our food to go and coming home instead of disturbing the entire restaurant. That was fun. And super not embarrassing. Thanks baby.

As there is no Feburary 29th this year, we called today Nicole's birthday. Although in my opinion now, she should claim it both days, Feb 28th and March 1st, when it's not a leap year. When we were kids that would have made me mad, but now I say go for it! :)

Happy birthday woman!! I cannot believe you are 18. That blows my mind. Seriously. I can't handle it. You are old. You are an adult!! Hooray!  I hope you celebrate like crazy BOTH days!!

This is how I still think of you. So tiny.

And now you're all grown up basically. Goodness.
