The one with Luca

The other day Jose took the girls bowling, and I needed I run some errands but I needed to wash my hair first. So I propped a happy baby on my bed in the nursing pillow---by the way--why in world is it called that? It only makes nursing harder I think, it's just in the way for me--and everyone I know just uses it to lay their children in---anyway. I put him in there and out some toys around him.

I went in my bathroom--I can still see my bed from there, and once I started washing my hair I could hear him babbling on to himself and then he started getting irritated it sounded like but my head was wet so I couldn't look up. So I just kept saying, "you're alright love" "you're just fine" because he was. But he kept sounding irritated. So when I was done I looked over at him, and this was him:

He was laughing once I got close enough to take a picture. He just hasn't learned that he can actually move his toys off his face if he wants too yet.

Kate made that bracelet that he is holding, for me from the rainbow loom thing that is huge right now, and seriously I had her make one for him because he loves to hold on to them so much! He will hold them for hours--it's one of the only things that lasts that long.

While we were at Jose's parents tonight they laid him on the table for a bit and he just watched the lights on the chandelier, and was in a trance, so Jose put a stuffed stripped caterpillar up there and he laid there forever and just kicked around and laughed and laughed at it for like 15 minutes! It was precious.

Then Jose dimmed the lights a bit and he got all wide eyed everytime he did it. We did it over and over again, but he had it backwards and got wide eyed when the lights were lowered.

When we got there Nicole said to me, "I just read your blog--I was waiting and checking all day!" That made me a very happy blogger. You're my favorite woman.

This was our goodbye to the Jackson clan for now (hopefully we make it for breakfast) and Gaby kissed Luca when he was in his carseat 3 times and it made me think of grant, as this is a usual occurrence now when we go to Sara's.

Grant climbs on in to say hi and kisses him and plays over there for a bit and reminds us that "caca" is still there.

See the similarity?

I love that my baby is loved.
