The one with Nicole's birthday

This was my view as I got ready the other day. I think I'll keep him. :)

It was Nicole's birthday yesterday, she's 15! Good grief she's getting old. They stayed with us again from Friday-Saturday so I decorated her door in the middle of the night for her.

It was fun, and I think it will be a new tradition for our family. Who doesn't want to be rained down on with balloons on their birthday?

I did it at 4:30 that morning and by 8:30 a bunch of the streamers had fallen and all the balloons! So if you do this avalanchey thing (when she opens the door the balloons fall in on her) use packing tape, not scotch.
And make sure they aren't going to get up in the middle of the night. I was worried about that as I was doing this. I was bummed when I realized I had gotten the tiny balloons but they worked better than big ones would have for this. They are so much harder to blow up and tie though. My fingers hurt.

When the girls come we always always play clue. It's their favorite--and we always have fun! This time I've only been able to play once because you know I'm an adult and have to take care I my child sometimes.

This was Luca for the beginning of a game.  But it didn't last.

Then we went to red lobster for lunch-- it's Nicole's favorite--I had grant because Sara and Matt were sickly so I went to pick him up so they could rest, and I could feed their child. He crashed out on the way.

He did very well considering all the crazyness and all the new people surrounding him! We played and colored at the table. And he even helped me burp "caca" as he calls him (We're working on it).
He wanted nothing to do with the food unless he could feed himself. He did pretty well with that too!

Then we went to macys (for forrrreveerr) and I wandered around with grant and Luca. Luca slept the whole time which was helpful. Grant wasn't feeling the best at first, but then he warmed up. You can tell from the pictures when he starts feeling more like him.

He carried those cars all over the place that day. They were like a security blanket.

As the day went on I checked my phone a few times and my photos looked like this::

Multiple times. He's a master of selfies. :)

Happy birthday Nicole!
